If you are looking for a mechanic, I recommend you take your car to Tigard SUV and Auto Repair.
I already had this shop bookmarked because I knew I was past due for some scheduled maintenance on my car. Of course I kept procrastinating and surprise surprise, my car wouldn’t start a few days ago. Luckily I was at home when this happened.
I called them first thing Monday morning and asked if I could have my car towed in. They said yes, but they couldn’t get to it until the afternoon, which was understandable on a Monday with no appointment.
They called me later that evening and told me what was wrong with my car, but that they would have my estimate by the next morning. I got a call early the next day with confirmation of what needed to be done along with the scheduled maintenance that was due. I said yes, please do it all because I was planning on it anyway. With the very long list of things to work on, they were able to get it all done by Wednesday evening. So in a little over 48 hours, they fixed my car and got me all up to date on my maintenance. The day before a holiday no less!
The staff at this shop were kind and helpful. Not once was I treated like an idiot for letting my car get into the state it was in (even though I am).

Exceeds expectations. I dropped my truck off after hours Sunday night without an appointment hoping they might be able to look at it some time Monday or Tuesday. They gotnright onnit Monday morning and had estimates by the afternoon for repairs. They were very busy and said would try to do repairs Tuesday bit it might be Wednesday. This was fine with me especially since I had no appointment. I told them asnlong as I had it by Thursday afternoon I would be fine. I got a call at 11:30am Tuesday sayingn it was ready to go. Super professional and very friendly. Reasonable prices. I won’t go anywhere else.

They worked on my car, got the things done that needed to be done. You see my ignition broke and I needed to get it towed. There for I didn’t exactly have time to clean my car out. Granted it was a little messy (5 cig buts that I didn’t see from before were laying out. Then like 7 other little things) but not super messy. I only got mad because my seat was moved backward making it hard for me to reach the pedal. I asked if someone could come fix it real quick because the motor won’t move it forward. The woman said they could not because all the mechanics went home a good 50 minutes before they closed. At least that’s how long they had left till they closed when I came to get my car. So I slid past her and told her I need to leave before I was rude. She didn’t move and I wasn’t looking when I tried to close the door so I didn’t see she had her hand on there and even apologized when I noticed what happened. I feel bad for that, and I am sorry about it but after that incident she calls my father and tells him that I was rude and that they weren’t going to touch my car until the cig butts were cleaned up… how old are we? I was trying to leave because I was upset and she knew from before I was stressed. Even when I talked to her earlier on the phone she was rude, would interrupt and just had a tone. They do good work for repairs so far but the attitude and immaturity is too much, it’s one thing to deal with a stressful customer but to call their father because they had the number on file and because they got upset because the customer upset really doesn’t help the matter. I even told her before that I was stressed and it wasn’t her fault. Besides that why are the mechanics leaving early when they are still open? They are pretty pricy as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if my dad received a call again from this review.

This place is unethical! Returned a faulty battery only to have them tell me it was my alternator, three belts and the LED clock inside the vehicle that was draining the battery. After having them exchange the battery (under warranty) and reconnect the interior clock, I picked the car up and took it to another mechanic who had it for a week with no battery, alternator charging issues at all. The only issue he found was a broken battery terminal and a corroded battery terminal which he couldn’t believe they wouldn’t recommend replacing with the new battery. Guess they were more focussed on selling me an alternator and belts (over $ 500.00 repair) then selling me something I truly needed. Then to top it off, the bill states that the battery isn’t warrantied due to the faulty alternator (that I don’t have). Considering the auto repair shop doesn’t warranty batteries, the actual battery manufacturer does, good try Tigard SUV, your not fooling this patron! I only gave them a star because I had to as it wouldn’t let me write a review with NO stars!

It is with the greatest pleasure I write to endorse this auto repair establishment as the one place I will be taking my vehicles for the rest of my life.
Tigard Suv auto repair came to our rescue after we suffered through another shop in downtown Tigard lied to us and cost us thousands of dollars through shoddy workmanship and falsified claims that we were getting an engine and parts that were anything but what we were told we were receiving. Those thieves shall remain nameless while we take time to tell you how friendly, courteous, and professional the folks are at Tigard Suv auto repair.
The people at the counter could not have been more on the ball than they are.
Their mechanical technicians are the best around and from what I could see through the small windows, the shop is meticulously clean.
We relocated from Pennsylvania to Tigard four years ago, and it is to my great chagrin we did not know of this incredible business sooner.
We have had two occasions in the last few weeks to use them. One minor (headlamp replacement) and one major (alternator replacement). Each time, the efficiency, speed, and genuine good relations were more than one could expect.

Used them a couple times now and been very happy. Recently had a starting problem that couldn’t be replicated. I took it to them practically begging for them to fix something, anything, to make me feel better. They could have easily just made something up, but they were honest with me and explained that since it couldn’t be replicated there wasn’t much they could fix. I feel like that was the mark of an ethical mechanic: being honest when something doesn’t actually need to be done.
I’ll be back for years to come.

I had it with the dealer service department so I decided to try an independent repair shop. I really like this place — they’re responsive, and communicate well about your car. A big plus — they have loaner cars. My 1995 Buick LeSabre cruiser was a riot. I thought their prices were reasonable and their location is very convenient. Check your Clipper magazine for a coupon.
