Nice and reasonably priced jewelry by local and non local artists. They also have bags, cards, and some fun odds and ends. Minus two stars for the service that is consistently unfriendly (I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 3 years and been in many times. I have never experienced anything but aloof employees who seem rather unhappy to be there).

This is fun little shop in a great neighborhood. They have a lot of local artisans, jewelry, trinkets and accessories. Great for that gift you need for someone who has everything or that special little something you are looking for.

Tilde has the best gifties and customer service, it’s impossible not to leave there without something you love!

Tilde is okay. They have a nice selection of artists’ jewelry and wares, including cards, purses, trinkets, and other artsy items. I’ve bought some lovely jewelry and some not so lovely (but pricey) jewelry that’s fallen apart after 1 wearing. They have some cute things in here, but I have to say the service is always a bit chilly, which is fine for SW but not so much for Sellwood. If it were nicer, it’d be 4 stars.

Beautiful shop. Full of artwork and handmade goods from Portland artists. This is the perfect store to buy a gift for yourself or someone who is «artsy» and perhaps harder to shop for. My husband bought a slim wallet here that he loves. Last time I was in I bought a lovely candle scented «Milk». It’s delicate without being perfume-​y. Perfect for our bedroom.

It’s not often that I go into a store and want everything in it. Tilde is one of those places where you could get ANYTHING for me from there and I would love it. It’s awesome. A bit on the expensive side, but really awesome.

This is a lovely gift shop just across from the Jade Teahouse & Patisserie. I visited for the first time this summer, and I left with a fancy new hair clip and a wallet. I don’t think I needed either, but I enjoy them both. I will definitely keep this place in mind for gift buying needs. It doesn’t hurt that I can incorporate a meal at Jade in the process.

I love me a good local art shop. I especially love it when they have über-​cool jewelry and accessories that are handmade, unique and at all levels of price.
The staff was super helpful, the shop is really accessible and easy to make your way around in. It’s clean, bright, friendly and unassuming.

A great store full of gorgeous wares from local artists. A must visit for sure. It’s a bit pricey but the products (especially the jewelry) are high quality, cute, and one of a kind.

I love how they set up the displays and offer unique items. This is a great store to window shop. Their unblandness is a treat for the eyes.
Their online site is user-​friendly. I bought a 18K gold necklace for my sister and a stainless steel wallet for my hubby.

Wonderful selection of unusual gifts. Bought brightly colored leather wallets for me and my niece who loves the color pink, two beautiful little glass bowls for kitchen prep, some great cards, a pair of fab featherweight bronze leaf earrings. And then at the register they suckered me in with the cutest keychain. Charming, helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed just about every piece featured in the boutique. Great atmosphere, brightly lit and well displayed. Enjoyed the first Friday feature with Portland artist Jill Bliss.
One thing I love about this store is the affordability and uniqueness. Portland has a lot of precious stores that start to feel the same, with the same ol’ 20 local crafters getting a lot of air time. Tilde is different, with a wide selection of artists, yet tightly curated. Appreciated the prices ranging from completely affordable to small splurge.

On a recent visit to Portland, a friend brought me to Tilde saying that every time he comes here it reminds him of me. He knows me too well. I was enamored of this perfect little boutique.
The first thing that caught my eye was the great window display. So creative and simple, yet brilliant. I love the art and jewelry selection. Having gone to art school and as a person who works in a creative field, I appreciate someone who has a good eye for design. It is clear that the store owner has a specific vision and clear understanding of what they want this shop to be and is thoughtful about presenting that vision. Also, I purchased a new wallet that I adore and show off to anyone who will indulge me.

Not only is the hand picked selection of stationary, housewares, accessories and jewelry exceptional, the environment is warm and welcoming. The space isn’t overwhelming or overstuffed and has a nice cohesive flow.
It is difficult not to walk out the door with something special for a friend or yourself. Some items are expensive, but there is a lot within a reasonable price range. My latest purchase? Whisky Stones. Just think of pouring your favorite liquor over lava rocks that don’t melt. Don Draper would be proud.

This lovely store is unusually perfect. It’s the kind of store you can visit without necessarily having something in particular in mind to find and walk away with a gift for yourself or a loved one that will truly tug the olé heartstrings. It’s abundantly clear that every single item within their walls was painstakingly chosen, and that each handmade treasure carries a weight that will live on with the recipient well past an anniversary date, extinguishing birthday cake candles, or just a «hey, how are you?» gift.
Expect to find a little treasure under $ 10 AND a piece of more expensive art or bling that you never knew you needed until you lay eyes on it. Expect the owner to chat you up, enthusiastic but not pushy about the artists’ goods. Prices are totally reasonable for the unique wares. Highly recommend on a stop through Sellwood. This store is amongst the ranks of truly Portland gift shops. Not all of the goods are local (though many are), but the feel definitely is. I’ve never walked in looking for anything, but I’ve never walked out empty handed.

I’m not usually a gift shop person. Usually, they’re full of cutesy crap that I just don’t get. Sure, it’s cute, but what the heck do you do with it? That is not the case at all at Tilde.
From the minute I walked in the door I spotted plenty of things I’d love to have myself. Starting with the wallets and purses, all pretty and colorful with thoughtful, utilitarian designs. Then my attention turned to the jewelery. I’m recently in love with fused glass jewelery, and there’s plenty of it here, in addition to metal pieces. There were vases and other home accessories, beautiful stationary, and even some clothing. Finding the right gift was remarkably easy.
And of course I made sure to linger over all of the things I’d like to have myself, as the boy was with me. He’s quite good at taking hints like that.

I had just said to myself: ‘Self, it’s time to get new earrings. Something shiny bright to lighten my mood and express my gratitude.’ So I walked into my favorite, most tasteful gift/​earring/​art/​clothing store and fell in love with the most recent addition to my earring collection. Sterling silver. New artist being carried by Tilde. The earrings had just arrived for debut during this month’s First Friday show.
This is not an isolated event. Many of my best friends and family have received gifts I’ve discovered through Debbe and her delightful store. Brightly hued Baggu foldable nylon shopping bags, plastic rings, bangles, wallets, classy earrings, affordable (did I already use tasteful?) art and a terrific asymmetrical black tank and jacket have found their way into our lives channeled by Tilde.
Living lucky in Sellwood! Tilde is part of that good fortune!

I miss this wonderful little store and all it’s wonders!
My Aunt took me here during Christmas and all the stores on this street had wine or goodies to go with while everyone could shop at each store after hours. Tilde is a diamond in the ruff. Owner Debbie is a gem herself and so sweet. Not only that but she exudes confidence in her store and acknowledges fresh, new artists in the area. All the delights of independent designers or not can be found here.
I bought my favorite necklace here and I get compliments on it all the time. I wish I could have a piece of Tilde here in the Bay Area as it holds a special place in my heart. Check out their blog too:

And while we covertly slip into the burbs for occasional clandestine Target and Costco, day to day supply, big box priced, splurges when it comes to truly special gifts there’s no substitute for places like Tilde.
Nestled in the heart of Sellwood, Tilde is the cure for prosaic ubiquetiness, every item pops with color, style, design, and great taste (something Debbie the owner has in spades). The pictures speak for themselves, its a gallery of wearable art, asteticly pleasing décor, and conversation worthy accessories. That all this is available at entirely reasonable prices makes a trip that much more fun.
Despite Tilde making my thoughtful gift buying much easier, what I truly love is that Debbe and Andrea do so much to create a sense of community. Since before we moved to Sellwood they’ve always made us feel welcome there, the store exudes a sense of warmth. We’ve stopped in countless times, it’s always fun to see what’s new. First friday’s are a blast here as they kick off a new month of art showing on the walls and new window designs that Andrea continually rocks. Additionally Deb’s a cornerstone of community life here in Sellwood.
So make a day of it, Tilde, Garden State, Vino, Sockdreams, Love Art, Jade Teahouse, Spielwerk, the Ugly Mug, the Columbia Outlet, and the Looking Glass bookstore. All within five minutes walking. Tilde’s one of the coolest shops anywhere (those of you not in PDX can visit online), it’s a gift giving Godsend for the dudes and a tasteful treat for the ladies.
