Work across the street a few days a month. They have more sodas than I’ve ever seen a store carry – ANY store. The lady who owns it(I’m assuming she owns it because she’s always there) is always very pleasant. If the«Be Right Back» sign is up: she’ll really be RIGHT back.

This place saved my ass when I really needed a gift bag for a birthday present. However, I was practically robbed for it. Somehow, the one bag I chose happened not to have a price on it. The lady looks at it, pretends to look at the rest of the bags, and then tells me with certainty that it’s $ 6. «Is that ok?» «Sure.» What I should have said was«No, that’s outrageous, but I’m desperate so yeah, go ahead and scalp me.» I’ll plan better next time, not spending $ 6(or even $ 2) here again.

For this category of business, this is definitely a 5-star. But, I don’t see the reasoning behind 5-stars for things like convenience stores or sundry shops. However, Laura might be confused — she references the Wells Fargo Tower. There’s a «Tower Sundry» there too. I’m not sure if they’re related, but this review is for the one in PacWest Center(Key Bank tower). This store has everything, from a few(affordable) fruits to mouthwash, pain relievers and basic sundries to a huge selection of refrigerated goods. They do have cards, which is more important now that Alameda Floral has left the building. I love buying soda here on the rare chance I’m craving one as they have a really large selection, including several diet choices and Dr. Pepper/7Up’s full line, not just Coke & Pepsi. The lady that runs the store is really friendly, almost always has fresh popcorn popped and will even sell you cigarettes if that’s your thing. The prices on most of the convenience items are a bit higher than the«Avanti Market» my employer provides, but it can be worth it to stretch your legs and poke around a little for a surprise. I am usually buying one of the Costco muffins they’re selling with a markup, but at least 7 of 8 times they are edible and satisfying. Once and a while on Fridays, ripe bananas are being given away for free as a little customer ‘thank you’ I suppose. This store does not sell lottery, although the Tower Sundry in the Wells Fargo Center does.

This is an awesome little shop in the Wells Fargo Tower, on the 4th Avenue side. The gal that runs the shop, at least when I’m in there is happy, cheerful and always so nice. It’s nice just to interact with her. They have a great selection of snacks and drinks and greeting cards too.

So I work in this big building downtown. And sadly there is no snack machine. A great view but no snacks. Kind of a silly thing to complain about but every now and then my brain crashes, gets a 404 error message so I need to get a little something in order to keep working. Sometimes that’s a Snapple or a piece of candy. This little place is great! It’s got news papers, cards, mouthwash, magazines, sodas, Tootsie roll suckers, 5 different kinds of Mentos including green apple, and the clincher nacho cheese Buggles. It’s even better then a snack machine! And the lady behind the counter is so nice. Brain malfunction averted! I can keep working! Another victory for corporate America. Woo hoo! Ok… maybe I had a little too much sugar.
