Alexis is my favorite hair stylist! I went to her for years when I lived in Pdx and I had the best hair of my life! She did color and cut and they were awesome! She listens and gave me options when I was unclear about what direction I wanted to go in. I’ve since moved to Philadelphia and have thought about flying back to get my hair done with her because I can’t find anyone here that can do it as well as she did. I def recommend her!!!

I asked the Universe to help me find someone who understands ME… and I found Alexis! Lol.
Seriously, I really did. I wanted someone who could see who I am and help me create an authentic expression of that. I feel that hair is really so personal, so I need to feel an authentic connection with my stylist.
Yes. I am asserting that I can only hire a stylist who I could actually hang out with, someone who I could talk for hours with and be friends for years. That’s how I know they will understand my hair.
Because then I know that they actually are delighted to be working with me, they are inspired and energized by our work.
There are probably no bad stylists– there are just mis-​matched relationships.
Alexis is MY stylist and here’s why:
She is the first stylist who has ever told me that she enjoys working with someone who doesn’t know what they want.
She helped me to envision what hair is *me.*
Then she actually worked with me over time, with a lot of detail and genuine care, to create beautiful color and cut that feel exactly like who I am.
I just love her.

I want to start by saying that Alex seems to be a good person and tried to handle the situation that occurred professionally and I also got my money back from Groupon. I don’t feel good writing a less than favorable review but this has been a slightly traumatic experience. I didn’t even notice the unfavorable reviews on Unilocal because they were hidden below and I had a bad feeling going but didn’t listen to my intuition (cause new hair stylists are always a little scary). I have blonde hair and wanted a trim and roots touched up. I sat there for 4 hours. The first thing I said is that I hate gold orange blonde tones, I like ash. After sitting there with the color with no foils on my hair for a long time it turned gold orange. She said this happened before and asked if I was on any medications because it can affect color. I’m not on meds and the last time this happened I went to a beauty school and it was a disaster. So she blamed the new bleach product, tho half the bottle was used and even though this had happened before she continued to use it. Then she tried to over correct using another product which I knew if you left in too long would turn your hair a blue or purple tone. Yep, my hair was silver/​grey with light blue tints and shorter than I wanted. By this time I was so freaked out I just wanted to run out of there and she barely even touched my cut but I didn’t want her too so I left with it uneven.
I don’t know about brunettes but if your a blonde I’d be wary. Hopefully I can get this fixed without completely frying my hair somewhat soon but in the meantime I get to work and walk around like this which is embarrassing.

I’m usually a once a year hair cut gal – which I know is not healthy, but I’m too cheap! However, when I do get my act together and have an appt w/​Alex, I love the cut and get dozens of compliments from family, friends and coworkers. She is fantastic!

I’m not a salon kind of person — it’s just not my scene. So in the past, I’ve shied away from salons, getting my hair cut at schools with hit or miss results, even strong-​arming my guy into coloring my hair.
So when I say that I found *my hairdresser* when I met Alexis (referred by other Unilocal reviews — thanks!), this is a big deal. She is extremely intuitive and talented with hair, and her salon’s name is perfect, as I trust her completely!
I had been trying to grow out repeatedly highlighted dark blond hair, and I was looking for someone who did balayage as I thought that might be a good fit. Alexis was very skillful with balayage, and with that one color job she managed to get me back towards my natural shade so that it’s grown in beautifully. I am afraid that she has effectively worked herself out of future coloring jobs on me by doing such a fantastic job the first time (naah — I’m sure I’ll need to mix it up again soon!)
As for her haircuts, by the time I came by, my layers pretty badly grown out, so there wasn’t much to go on. While I had brought a couple of old photos along, they only showed very vaguely what I was looking for. With so little to go on, Alexis nonetheless gave exactly the haircut I wanted but which I had such a hard time explaining.
Her services are very reasonably priced, and she’s just such a fun person to talk with — we’ve had really interesting conversations. I never thought going to the salon could actually be such a great experience!

I used to go to Bishops to get funky short cuts until my friend introduced me to Alex at Trust. Alex has been cutting my hair for 3 years now, and she does an amazing job every time. She has helped me to transition from short styles to long and back to short. Her cuts are always precise and grow in beautifully, and her color work is second to none. Alex is a professional with great prices and quality work, I recommend her to my friends, family, and the strangers who stop me on the street to ask who does my hair! If you’re looking for a new style/​stylist, Alex is your girl!

After several years of the same cut and color, I knew I needed a change but wasn’t sure how to go about doing so. Alex gave me an amazing cut designed to compliment my features while being easy for me to style myself.
She used multiple colors without the wasteful use of foils… and her technique is flawless!
I am beyond happy with my new style and am looking forward to continually updating my look because I am confident that Alex will keep my look fresh and current!

I found this salon by way of a discounted site such as Groupon, Mobba, Etc. I will make this short and swert. Cute space, nice girl, but didnt care how I felt about my color. With in a week my color had faded despite using professional Paul Mitchell products exactly like the ones she uses in her salon. When I voiced my concerns she basically reprimanded me as if I have no education or knowledge of the salon industry and referred me to a beauty school as if I were cheap to use a «groupon.» After a legnthy email using stylists jargon as to how everyone who colors their hair does it ever 2 weeks, blah blah blah i had enough. Go to this girl if you have a discount, because thats all your going to get for service.

oh my god. this is what i keep saying as i run my hands through my gorgeous new hair as i look at myself in the mirror. i have naturally curly hair, which is a total pain to cut, and i’ve never had a haircut i’ve liked since i grew out my hair.
this has all changed for me though! I saw Alex for a cut and color today and I LOVE my hair! She actually really talked to me about color, and helped me select a great one. She also choose two shades to compliment my grow out and my pre-​treated hair (and only charged me as an «all over» color). The result is the absolute best hair cut I’ve ever had and a gorgeous color. I’m getting married in a week and I’m so excited to get married with beautiful hair!
I can’t recommend her enough! Go see her!!!

Trust Salon is the best place to go for a great cut and color! Alexis is great at suggesting ideas, too. Even if you’re not entirely sure what style you’re looking for, she will take the time to listen and then suggest what would look great on you! As for color, I like to change my hair color with the seasons and Alexis is terrific at coming up with colors that always look good on me. I trust her completely!
It’s fun to visit the salon, too! It’s in a really cute space with lots of artwork on display. Call her today… you won’t be disappointed!

Looking for a great cut/​color/​wax without the massive expense such good quality treatments usually require? Trust is definitely your spot.
Alex is my new lady. She has the right balance of creativity and knowledge for a great haircut that is fun, but works within my boundaries (low maintenance, cute after a bike ride). I know enough about my own hair to know some cuts that look good, but I wanted something different that I couldn’t explain. She hooked it up with a multi-​compliment worthy cut. Plus she got my eyebrows under control without taking too much off. She’s a perfectionist, but get’s her treatments done in a flash.
It’s so nice to have a one-​stop makeover, at more than reasonable prices, this is a GREAT deal and I’m hooked.
