Name changed to Mill Ends Tavern apparently, but the Happy Hour is off the charts! $ 2 wells, $ 3 micros, and a great (cheap) food menu. Indoors they seem to have a great little stage set up with musicians lined up and sidewalk outdoor seating. All that plus easy access from MAX with a view of the Portland waterfront! More value for your money.

Great new ownership is really bringing this old Portland landmark in to it’s own with ping pong tables, multiple beers on tap and nearly a dozen new flatscreen televisions for watching NFL Sunday ticket this fall (yes, football is right around the corner). I heard through the grapevine they will be bringing on some bbq soon. It would be wonderful to be able to enjoy some REAL bbq in downtown Portland. Football, ribs, ping pong and beer… what else do we need?
I will DEFINITELY be checking in periodically to see if this bbq dream becomes reality. Word on the street is the guy coming in to man the ‘Q’ knows a thing or 2 about providing smoked ribs, chicken and pulled pig to intoxicated patrons (and designated drivers too). By the way, free non-​alcoholic soda for designated drivers!
Recommendation: GO.
