Vitamin World

I generally only purchase supplements if not online at Whole Foods, New Seasons or The Vitamin Shoppe. Since I was inside the Lloyd Center Mall, I’d figure I may as well check to see if they carry MTC (medium chain triglycerides) oil especially since neither of the three stores listed above carries it. Going to Supper Supplements or going online would have been my next choice.
When I walked into the store I was immediate greeted and asked what I was looking for. I actually wasn’t in the mood to talk, I just wanted to look myself but I figure I should let the gentleman do his job.
When I asked him, if they carry MTC oil, he responded by staring into space. It wan’t the type of look as if he was trying to remember where it was located, he just didn’t know WTF MTC oil was. When I told him «its medium chain triglycerides in an oil form — a supplement», he asked what its used for.
Now if you don’t know what its used for, you don’t know what it is. I told him the form it comes in and he proceeded to look under categories that had nothing to do with the product. He seemed annoyed as he stared blankly at the shelves while popping chewing gum.
I found the section it should have been in, checked and realized quickly they don’t have it.
I was not disappointed they didn’t carry the product, it was more of the clueless and careless customer service I received there. I’m never making that mistake again.

You now find Vitamin World where you used to find GNC. The prices at VW are much cheaper. They are sometimes the cheapest. The problem though is their relatively small inventory. They carry mostly their own brands and comparatively small selection of other brands. If they don’t make what you want or it contains ingredients you don’t want, you will be lucky if they carry another brand.
Members can get discounts. I signed up for free many years ago. I don’t know if it is still free or not.
The prices are good and the locations are often convenient. This one is at Lloyd Center.
