Stay away from this cleaner.
Thoroughly UNIMPRESSED with this cleaner. they completely destroyed a dress (there must be a rough spot in their machines bc it pulled the threads on a silk dress). After accusing me of taking in an «already drestroyed» dress, she told me the owner would call me and we could discuss. 5 days later I had yet to hear from the owner, and he still will not acknowledge that he destroyed it.
STAY AWAY from this cleaner — they are too expensive, and there are much better alternatives walking distance from this one.

I regularly use this cleaner due to the close proximity to my house. Recently, this dry cleaner lost my very expensive tailored shirt. I have been back 5 times in the last month trying to get this shirt back. They have tried to give me other people’s dry cleaning to resolve this issue and don’t understand I want my own clothes back. Each of the 5 times I ‘ve been to the store, I was told I would receive a call from the owner. No one has ever called and tried to resolve my issue. I won’t use this business again.

DO NOT CLEAN YOUR CLOTHES HERE! I brought in an Ann Taylor dress I’ve had for about 8 months. I’ve had it cleaned several times and never had a problem. I went to pick up my cleaning today and they told me they couldn’t «get the stains» out of my dress. Stains that did not exist a week ago when I dropped off the dress. The woman at the counter said it was bad material and they are not responsible. They did NOTHING to rectify this situation.
Do not use this place. Looking at the other reviews, they have bad service, bad alterations and horrifying cleaning.

Only reason brought alterations here is for convenience! I have to agree with all the other reviews. Brought in a suit, come to find out after I got home the hems on the jacket were not even, the seaming on both slacks and jacket looked like they are temporary hems. Not to mention I paid $ 50 at time of pick up as well!
Was NOT able to use suit for event planned, and now I have to go back and get them redone. Let’s see if it’s done professionally this time!!! Uhhhh!

Worst Customer Service! Poor Quality! They OUT SOURCE their dry cleaning & alterations! What a sham! They told me that they could hem and fix my dress for $ 20… Then when I came in to drop it off I was told $ 40… When I finally paid the invoice was for $ 50! That’s ridiculous! They also ripped the lace on the front area… I asked if they could please fix it because it was not broken when I brought it in… They said «no problem» and then when I came back the next day, they hadn’t even touched it! I will have to fix it myself… As the dress is for a wedding taking place tonight! What a Sham!!!

Thank GOD I just read these reviews – I’m new to the area and was about to drop off a few pricey items there tomorrow to test the waters. No longer! I appreciate the feedback… thank you!

Interesting to read that last review because I had a nearly identical experience here.
I brought in clothing for alterations, which were done *terribly*- ruined a Donna Karan skirt (truly ruined), took things in I asked to have hemmed, on and on. I left the items with them to be fixed, paying them for my dry-​cleaning that I picked up when leaving the store.
After this period, I exchanged multiple phone calls with a very unhelpful (and at times hostile) male «owner» (not sure if this was accurate as per other review, but this is what he stated) who told me he could only be there certain days given other business commitments, then wouldn’t call until midday business hours on the days he was present (making it impossible for me to drop everything and come in that day!) — it took months to find a time that was appropriate to come back in.
When I returned, the skirt remained terrible. I mean, completely ruined– hemline *inches* different and wavy rather than straight– really terrible work (I even took pictures and kept the ruined item for records). When I showed the owner, he looked at me straight faced and told me that it was «straight» and he refused to reimburse me for the item. He then told me to pay him or he would call the police (note: this apparently happened with the other reviewer as well!!). When I stated that I was not comfortable paying for a garment that had been *ruined* he DID, in fact, call the police! When they arrived, he told them that I had left the store refusing the pay– a COMPLETE lie!!! I’m sure these officers had far better ways to spend their time and tried to explain to him that this was not a police matter.
This business is truly terrible, and I honestly felt verbally assaulted a few times during the experience. I almost wrote it off as a fluke experience, but after reading M P’s review, I’ve got to say, I would steer seriously clear of this place, folks.

Criminal business practice! My first experience here, I had to return 3 times to pick up my clothes that were paid in advance but not serviced for the clean or repair that I paid for in advance. On my 3^rd return, the Max and Cleo dress that I dropped off (retailing approximately $ 300) was RUINED. It was originally black and white striped, at pick up it looked like a black and grey tie-​dyed disaster. When I contacted the owner, he explained that the accident was not their fault, because they do not clean their own clothes. He explained that they outsource to a local cleaner, then mark up the price for customers to pick up at their store. Finally, he offered to compensate only $ 80 for my ruined dress. He explained that I would have to wait a week to pick up the compromised pmt of 30% of my dress cost because HE DOES NOT LIVE IN PORTLAND and next time he was available was the following Wednesday. The following Wednesday, I stopped by to pick up the $ in exchange for my ruined dress. The store employee said they needed the owners permission to pay me, which the owner told him that I would have to return on Thurs. While I was there, the owner (named Victor) called me and said he changed his mind about compensating for my ruined dress because I discussed the situation when a customer walked in. He told me that if I dare tell anybody that they ruined my dress, he would call the police. At that point, the woman working in the store started shouting loudly that they are not accountable for any ruined clothes since they don’t actually clean and alter their own work. My answer to that: 1. Willamette Valley Dry Cleaners RUINED my clothes AND charged me for it. 2. They ARE NOT locally owned & operated. 3. They do not provide their own service, but capitalize off a neighbor’s business and mark it up while staging they are an actual dry clean. I will NEVER go back and am filing a small claim in court for my ruined dress.
