Dr. John Madej specializes in Internal Medicine. After completing his training 14 years ago, he opened a primary care practice in Northern California that became one of the most successful practices in the area. In 2008, he and his family relocated to Palo Alto so his three children could continue their education in the fine local schools.
In 2008, Dr. Madej opened a new primary care office in Portola Valley on Alpine Road. He specializes in Internal Medicine and hospital care with an emphasis on preventive medicine

Dr. John Madej is of Polish descent. After his graduation, he worked as a faculty member of the most prestigious Medical School in Warsaw, Poland. Part of his postgraduate training was done in London and Oxford, England. He was brought to the U.S. through a scholarship in 1992 and was offered a position at the University of California, San Francisco.
His residency in Internal Medicine was completed in 2000 at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, after which he came back to Northern California and opened a private practice.
Dr Madej received a World Health Organization scholarship, UCSF scholarship, Physician of the Year Award, and was nominated by his patients for the Man of the Year Award.
Dr Madej’s success comes from his unique approach to his patients’ well-being. He cares for each patient like his friend or family memeber. He believes that each patient has the right to see the doctor the same day, if he is sick and requires immediate attention.
