I really do love our library. The selection is so vast and the kids area rocks. It’s always clean and Smells great(if you have a sensitive smeller you know why this is important). Summer movies, book clubs, story times, ebooks. LOVE it all. Oh, and they have a used book store in the front where you can buy books super cheap. My only qualm is I have noticed some bending in the rules. One time I was on my phone giving directions to someone coming to the library and was told to get off the phone. I wasn’t being loud because I didn’t want to disturb anyone. Yesterday a woman was on the phone chatting away about who knows what and was allowed to continue.

My neighbors have mastered the art of being jerks 24 – 7. so i needed a quiet place to study and i found churchland library! Location– the sign stands out and its a couple of blocks away from maryview hospital. It is not walking distance to anything– which sucks if you just wanna run down the block and grab a bite to eat. Library– its a standard public library. I havent checked out any books yet but it seems like a fairly simple process. They have these e-check out machines too which are cool. The back area is where they have tables and chairs set up to study. It is usually pretty quiet back there. Also have 2(3?) quiet study rooms that are first come first serve. So if i get lucky, i can park my butt in there and burn the day away. Free wifi(very slow but gets the job done) and outlets galore in the seating areas. There are about a dozen computers that are available for internet surfing and printing(.10/pg i think). Theres a cute little section off to the side for children and they occasionally have events there for them. Standard library facilities — print, copying, etc exist. Also bins for recycling. I have yet to see a vending machine(so bring your own food and eat in hallway). Noise level is low and if you do decide to come spend some time, please be considerate and help us keep it that way :) As you enter you will also notice a constant book sale and on the left is a room for meetings(look like town hall meetings). Restrooms are always clean and there are benches outside for smokers. Ample parking outside for your car, and inside for your butt(and mind). No distractions, just come here and get some old fashioned studying done. Libraries are a staple of every community, thank goodness they still exist!
