You have to try the ribs. So good. Got a turkey salad, I think they cooked a whole turkey for me and cut off some thick juicy slices just for my salad.

Come here! Get a Cobb salad, you will not regret it. Full of delicious herbed chicken, bacon, sharp cheese, fresh greens and not to forget the house made bleu cheese dressing. I dont even like bleu cheese dressing!
Sometimes have homemade cannolis filled to order… yum.
Order ahead for fastest service if you are going to take out.

Had the split pea and ham soup with half turkey club sandwich. Very tasty. Nice selection of sandwiches and other deli items. Happy hour is 4 – 6 m-​th with half price drinks and spudsters.

This place is solid. The sandwiches are yummy and creative but nothing to get really excited about. The menu has A LOT of options– from pasta, soups, paninis, fancy hot dogs, decent beer selection and like, 10 homemade fresh sides (beet salad, curry quinoa, kale slaw, things like that). Everything I have eaten here is reliably good but not outstanding. Recommend the BLT and coleslaw. The service is quick, efficient and super friendly. Prices are reasonable esp in Portsmouth.

We stopped in for lunch after visiting UNH. We tried the plain mashed potato balls with truffle ketchup– sounds amazing — tasted blah. I ordered the hamburger and the bun was enormous– much to big so I ended up eating my hamburger with a knife and fork. Very cute place, lots of different options and obviously a busy place. My BF got the Brooklyn Bomber and said it was good but he also thought the spudsters had no flavor and the sauce wasn’t enough.
So it’s a great local place and I would try again if in the area, but would choose some different things to eat.

Outstanding vegetarian options, great menu, fresh and healthy foods, innovative side dishes, good beer on tap, friendly service. Food prep isn’t always speedy, but it is always fresh and tasty. A must visit when in Portsmouth!

I’ve tried most of the menu here and love everything I’ve tried. Turkey club, chicken salad, Tuscan, and Italiano sandwiches are all fantastic. Get the spudster pouting and a local beer if you’re eating there, great stuff. Friendly staff and nice environment.

Very good sammich shop not too far from the heart of downtown. The venue is a good size, with friendly staff, and a sizeable menu.
I ordered the Brooklyn Bomber Reuben sandwich off of a recommendation from a friend. The sandwich was hot and packed with tasty pastrami and kraut. The thousand Island dressing that came with it was tasty, but I think they put a little too much on it. There was a side cabbage slaw that was a pretty fresh accompaniment but could have been tossed a little better.
All in all, a good lunch place and while there were a few nit-​picky items, I’d definitely come back.

Looking for lunch on the way from Maine to Boston. Stopped at The Kitchen. Fit the bill perfectly. I had half a turkey club and a side of shaved Brussels. The turkey club had a fried tomato that added a great crunch. The shaved Brussels were very good as well (they had bacon in them). My husband said the coleslaw, which comes with every sandwich, was some of the best he’s ever had. He ordered the Cuban panini which was a different take on a Cuban. We also had 8 of their fried mashed potato bites ($ 3) which were so good. Our total was about $ 25 for all that and two drinks. If you want a quick lunch that’s a little bit more than a sandwich and chips but still decently priced, stop here.

Wow awesome sandwich. I had the turkey with friend green tomatoes. My son had the Italian. Both were great! The best was the spudsters. We shared a large with creole seasoning. Might just try them plain. Don’t think they need the seasoning.

Funny, we would have never found this place if Lexie’s wasn’t packed. Anyway, yes, this place is kind of hidden away in relation to the touristy areas, but don’t let that stop you if you’re in the mood for a good lunch.
Typical deli style ordering, but definitely not your typical sandwiches. I had the roast beef, she had the chicken caesar wrap.
Not much else to say. Just go try it out.
