TQ has irritated me before with their lack of communication and leaving my windows down when not in the garage. But this is the last straw. I took my car in for an inspection yesterday and also asked for the tires to be rotated and balanced. Two lights were also out, so $ 120 for everything. Fine.(Granted, the whole process took a lot longer than it should’ve — dropped it off at 9:30 a.m. and not ready until 7 p.m. — and they were short when we called to ask after it at 4 p.m., but that’s not the doozie.) When I started the car, the check engine light came on, and when I went back inside, I was told that I’d have to make an appt for a diagnostic, and that runs $ 150. And I was rudely told that they«didn’t do anything with the engine, so it’s not our fault that it’s on.» Seriously? Could it be a coincidence? Sure. But what’s not a coincidence is rudeness and indignation. From the other reviews here, it rather sounds like some customer service training is in order for Tread Quarters. And maybe some training on how not to return a car to a customer with more problems than it went in with. – June 6 update: I’m still mildly grumpy over the situation, but the manager called me today to discuss it. He is very professional and helpful and offered to eval my car Wednesday morning even before biz hours. Six stars for his customer service.

I just didn’t get a good vibe when I walked in. I’ve been here before but today was poor service. I arrived at 0730 and the guy told me the inspector wouldn’t be there until 10. So I ask for my keys back to go somewhere else, and the guy got an attitude and questioned my decision. And the waiting area was dirty.

Didn’t even know making an appointment was an option. When they informed me it would be 2⁄3 hours I didn’t care much. Left my car and walked around doing errands. Almost 3 hours later they call to say they haven’t even started my oil change but I need over $ 1200 worth of stuff done. When I tried explaining to the man that I have a warranty and can not commit to that much work without calling my dealership(because that’s why I pay for the warranty) he becomes rude and starts to talk down to me. Then when I go to leave my battery is drained and I need a jump. How does my battery go from NO issues at all to needing to be replaced? Almost 4 hours later one of the nicer employees gives me a jump and I was on my way. I get their job is to up sell but I really feel as if they were trying to take advantage of me.

Intimidating for a lady. A young lady dropped her car off for an oil change and leaves. The manager of the shop calls her up and tells her that her car has a long list of problems, which their shop can fix, for a total over $ 900.00.the car did need front brakes, but not the other many alleged problems. However, the shop is producing a long list of problems, about the vehicle, that a naïve lady may not understand. This business tactic is very, very, shameful and clearly intended to intimidate and scare a young lady who may not have a knowledge of car repair. So, potential customer beware! I will not return to this shop.

This is the worst place ever. I made an appointment and had to wait an hour to even get my car in. Two hours later it was done for a oil change and a tire rotation.

We used to be very happy with the service when Bob was there. He assured us the work would be done correctly and on time. Recently, I requested a front end alignment that did not correct the problem. I returned the vehicle to have them do it again and was still disappointed. I will not do business with them anymore.

My wife took her car there for an inspection after she had some work done by them a couple weeks before. They gave her a ridiculous story about needing a $ 20 part but labor was going to be $ 250. I took the car to another garage and told them exactly what they said needed replacement. They could find no problems or concerns about potential problems and passed its inspection. Don’t let them rip you off. Tires fine, inspection, take it elsewhere.

I thought I needed brakes and an alignment, but they showed me I needed a new tire and my brakes were fine. Saved me a bunch and my car’s been running great ever since. Excellent!
