Established in 1923.

Woodbury Florist and Greenhouses has a long history from its beginning as a seasonal greenhouse. There have been a few owners over that period and a couple of name changes but our commitment to quality, service and selection as well as our address remains the same at 1000 Woodbury Ave in beautiful Portsmouth, NH. Today Woodbury Florist and Greenhouses is a year round full service florist and greenhouse operation offering the areas best selection of fresh flowers and house plants as well as annual, vegetable and perennial plants. We offer delivery in Portsmouth and the surrounding area for all occasions including, birthdays, get well, weddings, anniversaries and funerals. One thing hasn’t changed though. Our commitment to you our customers both new and returning.

Richard has over 36 years of floral and greenhouse experience. When combined with our New Hampshire Master Floral Designer, Woodbury Florist & Greenhouses boasts of over 70 years of floral experience.

Richard’s gift is working with those in mourning and creating beautifully unique arrangements that celebrate life. He is very attentive and will make sure everyone’s experience at Woodbury Florist & Greenhouses is a pleasant one.

I stopped into Woodbury Florist a couple weeks ago to have some flowers sent to my girlfriend at her office. I had a few minor preferences in regard to the type of flowers and colors and let them take it from there. The bouquet they delivered was tastefully done and right on target. A couple tulips lost some petals after maybe 5 days so we removed those, but other than that it’s been on our entryway table for well over a week and still looks perfectly fresh. We are very pleased with the longevity of the flowers and the quality of the arrangement. I definitely will be going back the next time I need flowers or anything else they sell! Great job, couldn’t be happier.

Owner Richard and staff are wonderful. Flowers ordered and delivery attempted yet the hospital had no room in the inn and my friend was transported to Boston. We called and spoke with Richard who quickly stated, «No problem» and he offered to work with a local florist to have our flowers delivered to our friends residence. I could not be more impressed and I you will be too!

I ordered an arrangement through Telafora to be delivered to a restaurant that I knew my friend was having her birthday celebration yesterday. She telephoned me after receiving her arrangement at her table and was so taken with the thought naturally, but was really taken with the gorgeous arrangement. She sent me a photo of it and I was so thrilled to see what Woodbury Florist had designed. Way and above what I had ordered online. I just telephoned them to thank them for doing such an incredible job. Their designers are top notch!!!

At a very difficult time in our lives, Richard patiently and compassionately took our orders for our beloved mother’s wake. We all had our vision of the perfect flowers from each of us independently, including family from out of the state and in Europe. You know how the book is always better than the movie? Well in this case, Richard wrote the book. Working with a short timeline and intermittent blizzards, he created a veritable garden of Eden for our garden loving Mom. He brought our ideas to fruition better than we ever imagined; his creativity went beyond art into a spiritual connection with our Mom Sarah, and all of us. Thank you and God Bless, Richard.

Although I live in Portsmouth and I am a gardener as well as love houseplants, I have not been to Woodbury Greenhouses before. I often frequent greenhouses much further away from home. I drove by Woodbury Greenhouses yesterday and decided to see if they had any mini plants which I needed as replacements in a indoor planter. I had traveled 25 mins to a larger greenhouse the day before with unsatisfactory results. The selection was far better at Woodbury Greenhouses and I found just what I was looking for as well as some fabulous holiday decorations at half off. I am thrilled to find this great florist/​greenhouse right here in town. See you in the Spring for my perennials and annuals!

Great florist! Once I found this place, they were my go-​to for the 3 yrs I lived in the area. Very friendly. VERY creative. My wife is picky, so the generic pre-​made arrangements don’t work well for me. I’d call them, tell them the colors and flowers my wife likes, and the amount I wanted to spend. I’d walk away with unique, beautiful arrangements. Even if they didn’t have her favorites in stock, their substitutions were spot on. Best florist I’ve ever dealt with.

I was very pleased with my order from PF&G. I was happy to be able to order online directly through them and not through a 800-​FLOWERS-​type website. The order was delivered promptly, and the arrangement still looks fantastic more than a week later.
