I went there with my parents. We are from Mexico so we are Hispanic looking, I have lived in this area for 25 years. Well long history short we were totally ignored!!! They are racist. I don’t care how long they have been in business that is not a good way to keep business on the area, I tell everyone I know: don’t go there.

Ordered a pasta, and waited over an hour for a shrimp scampi. When it arrived, it was literally swimming in cheap oil. I mean, there was more oil in it than there was pasta. Maybe 3 – 4 pieces of shrimp. It was one of the most repulsive things I’ve ever eaten. I vomited violently in their bathroom directly afterward. I couldn’t eat anything all day, I had to skip breakfast and lunch today.

We’ve only ordered in from Gino’s a few times, but it has become our go to place here in Poughkeepsie! Pizza and calzones are terrific, chicken dinner and veal parm wedge delicious, and the salads are fresh and generous. We’ll be visiting soon!

Great place for a laid back meal. Wife and I go here week nights when we just want to have a glass of wine and some pasta. Service is attentive– menu is expansive– and we’ve never been disappointed. They offer half portions on many items– this is very convenient for us as the regular portions are very generous.

Really cute and cozy place! We were hoping for great things from the food just so we’d have a reason to come back again because the atmosphere is so inviting. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t so impressive. The garlic knots were greasy, the green bean fries were mush, and the pizzas were bland. Is it too much to ask for good pizza here in the HV? The search continues.

I’ve ordered pizza from Gino’s several times this year for various school events. The people here have always gone out of their way to be helpful. Prices are very fair and delivery is quick and timely. I will definitely keep Gino’s in mind for future events.

See my comments. Always great. Family local nice place. Excellent quality pizza. Try the lasagna its very good and a good portion. This is a local family who cares. I would never go to any chain when home made quality like this is nearby Poughkeepsie NY.

The last few times I had Geno’s cheese pizza, it had no flavor what so ever! Such a disappointment. I remember it used to be very tasty and the sauce was delicious. The staff is sort of friendly…

We ordered delivery, including wings. They arrived without any buffalo sauce on them. So either they forgot to toss them or you have to specify you want hot sauce. I’ve NEVER been anywhere that you need to specify this, and if that’s the case here, the person taking our order should have asked! The wings without any sauce were less than mediocre. Sorely disappointed when I’ve heard good reviews about their wings.

Gino’s is our goto for catering and casual dining. Food is consistent, quality and the pizza is great too. The owners are ways present and staff visually works to please the guests. Price point is value for the money.

It’s Gino’s. It’s been around forever. Usually the takeout is great but the last time it gave my girlfriend the runs. But it’s Gino’s, so it’s okay. Also around this time The City of PK had e-Coli in their water so there you go. Try it. No wheelchair access to restaurant but they deliver. Remember it’s Gino’s, it’s been around forever. So, yeah.

Great Italian family restaurant. Family owned and family friendly. You can never go wrong at Ginos.

For me to give this place less than 5 stars would be unfair seeing as I’ve eaten here by choice hundreds of times over the past 10 years. Their food is not great but it is pretty good.

We’re new to the area and trying to find a good pizza delivery place. I was excited to try this because the reviews were so good, but the pizza was really nothing special. We ordered the Veggie pizza, and honestly it was forgettable. I think it was the ingredients — a bit lackluster, and the veggies didn’t seem very fresh.

My wife and I went to visit our son, who’s a cadet at West Point. I found this little jewel on Unilocal. We went here, one evening, and ordered a couple of their pizzas. WOW! Truly fantastic food. The servers were very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We’ll definitely be going back here the next time we’re in New York. Thanks, Gino’s, for a memorable evening!

Gino’s has great pizza. The family that owns and runs this place are just such nice people. I have tried their Italian/American style entrees and they didn’t blow me away… pasta a bit overcooked, etc… but it IS a pizza place and they have got that down! You can get pretty creative with your pizza toppings. It’s also really nice inside, the prices are reasonable and they have a full bar now.

Gino’s is a better-than-average pizza parlor that also offers pastas, salads and a small but adequate selection of beers and wines. See also our review of the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area.
