Staff is amazingly friendly. Atmosphere is too loud, hard to even hear the person sitting across from you. Large TVs with sports on. Drink menu is small, very short on the mixed drinks. Fountain drinks are watered down. Food is great, especially the dessert cake.

A few weeks ago a friend and I went to grab a few drinks and an appetizer and our bartender was Clint. He was awesome. The food was good atmosphere was great with the windows to the outside patio opened and the sun shining beachy feel. We went back because we had such a great experience the first time and were hit with an even better experience. Probably the best service I have ever had. The bartender came over right away and made our drinks. I wanted something different and without hesitation she offered a great substitute. Finished that and wanted another and yet again she came up with another awesome drink. Each time my friend and i couldn’t stop commenting on how amazing she is! When we asked how long she had been there she said five days! Couldn’t believe it! Savanah is truly amazing at her job. The manager and owner came over to check on us as they did the time before and we really like that it’s important to feel appreciated when in a establishment and this entire staff does nothing but show you that. Food is great. Excellent choices in sauce and options. Can’t wait to go back!

2.5 stars I came here for a friend’s birthday. I’ve only been here once before, two years ago, so this is just based on this experience. We came on a Tuesday night so that’s why it could’ve been off, but there was definite weirdness here– mostly at the hands of our server. We weren’t sure if she was new or not, but some things she did: — took a long time for our drinks(one cocktail, two waters) — brought the cocktail out first, forgot the straw; took five more minutes for the water(its’s water!) — food came out lukewarm(my friend said her tacos were cold) — when we asked for hot sauce, said we might be charged for it(???) and then given a tiny, almost empty bottle of Tabasco(though not charged) — the most weird: the birthday girl asked for chocolate lava cake for dessert with a candle in it. The server even came back to ask if she wanted raspberry sauce and whipped cream on the LAVACAKE. She then brought out the sea salt caramel cheesecake with a candle, no mention of the lava cake. My friend was charged for the lava cake. We said we’d come here again because the cocktails look good and the food was decent, but this made us weary. The décor, however, is really cute.

I’m a huge fan of the cheesy mixed drinks. The coconut mojito, I’ve tried to replicate it with absolutely zero success. It’s the middle of winter and I still head over for a coconut mojito. Super friendly staff, great seating all year-round. It can get a bit busy and hectic but it’s manageable. I have had a few noshes here and it’s never been disappointing. Only improvement I would suggest? Parking.

All in all not bad. Warm beach décor made a cold MLK day a little brighter. I kept it basic with a small order of extra hot wings make sure to ask for extra crispy because these are extra large. Chili was a little bland but ingredients seemed high quality. I ate at the bar and had a nice conversation with the bartender. 2 dollar Miller lite bottles all day every day ain’t bad either.

It’s okay for a quick beer and lunch. Don’t expect great service and quality food from this chain. The wings aren’t the best of the best either. It’s and average place to go and chat, watch a game and hangout. The wing flavor variety is the best around but the wings are a southern wing that’s too fatty for my liking.

Good for a chain place. The food is fair, the specials are decent. Bartender is friendly/good and isn’t over antimidating like some places(Bryan I think?). The food also usually comes out hot which isn’t the case at a few places on Rt9… We are going back again today.

Went back again last weekend, enjoyed eating outside on the patio, the wings were cooked well, crispy the way I wanted. I love my mojito and overall me and my friends had a good time!

GREAT beer selection. The bar maid was super friendly. The other people at the bar were super friendly. Had wings to go. We got traditional hot with a side of the extra hot sauce. Next time we think we can handle the extra hot.

I wish I’d read some reviews before stopping by here. I’d say I’m on board with the overall impression you get from most of the reviews. Pretty much every wing we had was a complete disappointment.

The service was OK, waitress wasn’t given much of an order(there were only two of us) and the requested water wasn’t brought out. Should water not be a standard part of NY dining experience, without having to ask? Food was pretty much terrible. It looked like frozen dinner. The broccoli only comes with a butter/parm sauce, presumably because it’s pre prepared, so it’s insanely salty and immeasurably over seasoned. The Coco Loco hot sauce was third from the top on the heat index for their hot sauces, and it was sweet like a pitcher of summer iced tea. The setting is cool on a nice summer night. Makeshift beach, tiki torches, island music. But that’s all they have going for them. If I realised the food was going to be this horrible I wouldn’t have gone. Of course, I knew just by looking at their Disney coloured menus chock full of stock photos of food they didn’t cook it was gonna suck, and I still ordered. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, wait, ah frig off. Save your money and go somewhere else. Maybe the wings are good, but there’s a planet wings around the corner, which is cheaper. Just go there. PS. Bubble guts will ensue. You have been warned.

Very generic chain restaurant food. The prices are fair but the service is absolutely awful at least half of the times I’ve been there. Inattentive services that are happy to have personal conversations in front of you while you wait and wait.

I’m just gonna post my experience and leave it at that. This place is SO ass backwards the food need not be reviewed. I love wings, the place looked nice, I went in with high expectation. Told my server this was my first time in so I wanted my wings plain and I wanted a few sauces on the side. This somehow was a problem so the server went & got a manager. I was like what? So I had to explain to him that this was my first time in and I wanted to try a few sauces. That pissed me off !! When the sauces arrived some were in a 2 ounce portion cup & some were in a 1 ounce portion cup? Wtf? Now here’s the clincher !!! Mind you the place is empty, and after waiting like 30 minutes, my wings arrive there is only 9 wings on the plate. The server says to me «your other 3 wings are still cooking, we’ll bring them out when they’re done ». This place is a JOKE!!!

Ordered a grey goose on the rocks, I got a glass full of ice to the top and half filled with vodka, then the bill came and there was an extra charge of 75 cents for the ICE ! The loaded chili nachos were cold and the chili had no taste. When I asked the manager about the extra ICE charge he said that it was because they gave me more vodka cause it was on the rocks. I have never heard of such nonsense but didn’t argue about it. Would not go back a second time.

What can I say? I’ve been here two or three times since it opened. Each time, I’ve tried something new, hoping it wouldn’t disappoint me like the last time. Sadly, I have to write this joint off. Sub-par, overpriced food, and mediocre(if not piss poor) service. Burger was like rubber. They completely messed up my call-in order, and I didn’t notice the mistake until I was already back at my job. I asked for a burger with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. I received a dry burger with cheese and bacon, nothing else. To top that experience off, I found myself doubled over with stomach pains not even 3 hours later, and you can imagine what happened after that. Wings are ok, much better than BWW. Perhaps the only saving grace to be found at Hurricane Grill. Still not good enough to warrant my return. Who decided to name a restaurant after a devastating tropical storm anyway? Not very PC, guys.

I’ve only been here for some light fare and drinks, but the beer is cheap($ 3 – 5 for bud to craft), the servers are friendly and attentive, and the ‘pub grub’ is standard(obviously wings, dip, etc.). This is a great place for watching sports(huge tvs), meeting with large groups(seating and space easily accommodates more than 10), and not being cramped in a standing bar in other parts of town. For the occasional night out, works for me!

My first thought, when I checked in, was, «Why haven’t I heard of this place before?» Then I found out it has only been open for a week. Then my thought was, «And it’s already bursting at the seams after only a week, and Vassar isn’t in session?» WHOAAAAA! This has already become THE place to hang for the summer. No surprise, with a lot of outdoor seating, and 2-for-1 drinks for happy hours. Though I have heard you are better off sticking with beer and wine for the 2-for-1; several people said their mixed drinks were watered down. The drinks I had did not seem that way — but be aware, there’s usually justification when these rumors abound. My meal was quite good. I had the half-pound angus steak burger, with applewood smoked bacon and cheese, and the other basics, i.e., lettuce, tomato, and red onion. It was cooked to order with good flavor. I substituted«hurricane slaw» instead of fries. The slaw was good, but it’s amazing how little slaw you get instead of fries — cabbage is NOT that expensive people! We had a few speed bumps when it came to bill time. Evidently New York State law requires that when there are buy-1-get-1-free drink specials, you must order 2 of the same. In our case, 2 of us split the drink orders for 2 different drinks. Initially they tried to charge us full price for all 4 drinks. When we protested, they moved each pair of drinks to one check so we could get the discount. So watch out for that. They also have a rewards program you can join. For every $ 100 you spend, you get a $ 10 credit.
