History

Established in 2016.

Barb’s Sweets & Treats originated in Phoenix in 2012. After moving to Washington, Barb did candies & confections for the local farmers markets for 2 years and eventually opened a permanent location in historic Poulsbo in 2015, changing the name to Fat Apple Bakery in honor of the state’s prolific apple production. Originally wanting a bakery only, the location in the former Liberty Bay Bakery offered the opportunity for sit-down service and breakfast & lunch menu items. Many items are purchased from local farmers and Fat Apple Bakery is also located at the Poulsbo Farmers Market every Saturday (except holiday weekends) from 9 – 2.
