The reservation system doesn’t work. They don’t enforce it and play «musical boats». That’s a quote from the staff. If they are going to operate this way, they need to set that expectation or remove the reservation process or fix the process.

After Bremerton, this was just another *meh* port. We anchored close to the marina and dinghyed out to land. The water is pretty shallow (maybe 15 feet during high tide) and very muddy. Tried catching crabs and there weren’t any (but there were probably fish as we saw a seal checking out the bottom of all the boats).
A feature is people who anchor «permanently» off the marina, which we’d not seen at other marinas (ie. Sailboats which were covered with algae at the water line or run down, which had obviously not been moved for a while).
Poulsbo lacks the «glam» of Gig Harbor and the «freshness» of Bremerton. It’s hardcore, it’s Scandanavian and it is what it is. I liked the surrounding buildings and architecture, but as a port, it could do with a facelift.

Great guest moorage with 50 amp service. I have been a regular in permanent moorage since 1989 and love it.
Fuel is ethanol-​free!!!
Be sure to visit the Loft for burgers and Sogna Da Vino (across the street) for ½ price gourmet Happy Hour pizza in the bar (4:30−6:30).

A great marina with showers (needs quarters) and Wi-​Fi. Unfortunately, the office closes pretty early. Lots of shops within walking distance. It was a welcome stop after the night prior having slept at anchor without the ability to shower.

Fantastic marina with great staff and good facilities. Great downtown Poulsbo location with tons of restaurants and bars in walking distance. Norwegian village with lots of shops. Love it there!

Do you like boating with your Grandparents? C’mon down to the Port of Oldsbo! Cane Races start at 4pm, supper @ 5pm! Dont pass this Port by look for Captain Don and his smoke stacks!
