The Poulsbo Fish Park is WONDERFUL! Lots of good, solid wood paths and well-defined trails. It’s a great place to take my furkid… really pretty and quiet. I’ve seen adults, kids, and dogs on the trails and have never had any issues(c.f.: loud teens swarming the Clear Creek trail) but definitely make sure your pups they’ve had their flea/outdoor treatment because the deep forest and stream/still water features attract bugs. There are little bits of art and info signs that add to the peacefulness of the place… even though it’s right off the main drag and darn close to the freeway. The parking is ok, they have doggie bags and a honeybucket, not always easy to get in/out because other drivers aren’t necessarily conscientious about the fact that they may be closing off a entry/exit while trying to get up to the light.

Thanks to the efforts of volunteers and donations, private as well as state matching funds, the Poulsbo Fish park is experiencing a transformation from very basic undeveloped dirt lot(with basic trails) to one with viewing platforms, developed trails with benches and artwork. It is a great place to get to view Salmon spawning grounds. Close to town but a little bit off of the beaten path.(pun intended). I only hope that the success of the park does not impact the habitat by us experiencing it en masse. Pretty nice now, on the way to very nice. Please tread lightly.
