Dr. Rodriguez believes in the intimate connection between body, mind and Spirit as well as having her patients play an active role in their healing journey in order to provide the highest standard of care. She provides tools to be used in everyday life to help promote longevity and wellness. Fertility is an area of specialization that requires close attention and understanding of a woman’s unique constitution. History

Established in 2006.

Heart of Healing Acupuncture was created because we wanted to dedicate ourselves to not only providing quality healthcare but also to educate our patients to care for themselves through Traditional Chinese Medicine. We take the time to explain the process of healing and the importance of patient participation.

Since no two people are alike, treatments and herbal formulas are designed on an individual basis.

All effective healing comes from the heart, hence the name was created to reflect this core belief.

Debbie R.

Business Owner

Dr. Rodriguez received both her masters and doctoral degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with a focus on Reproductive Medicine, from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Los Angeles. She also has post graduate training in western internal medicine, cosmetic facial rejuvenation and Chinese Nutrition. She currently holds a monthly support group for those on their fertility journey, The Fertile Heart.

Her interests include the practice of Tai Chi, Qi Gong and meditation. She also enjoys hiking, kung fu and appreciating nature.

I recently moved and was looking for an acupuncturist that was closer in proximity. I found Heart of Healing in a random search. I started sessions with Dr. Rodriguez in April. She is very knowledgable, kind, and always responded so quickly. Initially, I was getting treatments for stress and lack of sleep. After a few treatments, I felt better and got back to a normal sleeping pattern. A few months later I started acupuncture treatments for fertility problems. Two months after I found out I was pregnant. I couldn’t be happier.

Debbie talked me through the process and would tailor her treatment sessions depending on what my symptoms were and what was needed. I was refereed to Debbie by Tao of Wellness Newport Beach and after about a year I am incredibly grateful that I made my first appointment with her. She impressed me with her direct manner, sensitivity, and willingness to describe the bases for Chinese medicine. I was new to acupuncture and was initially a bit apprehensive… Debbie was fine with that. She takes her time and makes sure you are comfortable during each appointment and that you are getting the most out of the experience with her. Her prices are reasonable but, more importantly she is profoundly good at what she does and listens closely to your individual expectations and does everything she can to insure maximum results.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Rodriguez. I started seeing her in November to help us conceive, and I was a bit nervous. I’ve never had acupuncture before and didn’t know what to expect.
Her office is so warm and inviting, and the procedure is painless. She sat and talked with me before every session, knew what day of my cycle I was on, and asked in depth questions to really get a good feel of what my body is doing.
I had many factors working against us conceiving, working night shift, hypothyroidism, even having a bout of skin cancer that I had removed during the time I was seeing her.
3 months after we started our sessions, we’re pregnant! I’m so glad I found Dr. Rodriguez on Unilocal and am more than happy to direct other women to her expertise!

Dr. Debbie Rodriguez was highly recommended to help me with nausea from chemotherapy. With my first two chemotherapy sessions, of four, I felt very nauseous. After my first session with Debbie I felt great, better than I had prior. She has treated me twice since then and it has been great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I started going to acupuncture for fertility problems. Debbie, was AMAZING! I called on Sunday and left a voicemail and she called me that same day and we spoke on the phone for 30 minutes or more. We set up an appointment for that upcoming week and during our appointment she listened to me more then any of my doctors have ever! She understood me so well. It was relief. My first treatment I was a little nervous but she made everything so easy, so after that I would fall asleep during the treatment and feel relaxed. I went for two months and on the second month on January 1st I found out I was pregnant. I know acupuncture helped and lots of prayer. Thank you Debbie! I highly recommend her!

I suffer from hyperemesis during pregnancy (sever nausea and vomiting) and it gets worse with each pregnancy. I was able to manage it with prescription medication with my first two, but this 3rd was beyond anything I could have imagined I was so sick. Prescription medication did almost nothing, and I ended up in the hospital for IV hydration. I had never had acupuncture but had read peer reviewed journal research about it helping with hyperemesis, and Dr. Debbie seemed to be experienced with women/​pregnancy etc.
I cannot begin to say how grateful I am for her help. I was a hopeless suffering mess and she was so kind, caring, genuine, and knowledgeable. She is so sincere and really warm. She is flexible with scheduling, and never rushes. She took her time every visit to see how I was feeling, what changed, what got better or worse, what I was eating, etc. She always gave extra suggestions of things to try. She was a listening ear too, like a good friend! I would not have made it through the rough first trimester if not for her treatment. I was unable to eat/​drink, yet after acupuncture I would feel much less nausea and be able to eat a little something and have a bit of energy. My family noticed the difference, and we all looked forward to my 3x weekly acupuncture visits as it made such a difference.
The room is very comfortable, and Dr. Debbie always makes sure everything is just right with the lighting, aromatherapy, temperature, etc. She is an absolute natural at what she does, and this is her calling in life. Her calming, positive, and wise presence was a lifesaver for me while I got through a very rough time.

I was referred to Debbie by a friend, never having gone to an Acupuncturist before I was a bit nervous about the needle part. But I have to say, from the moment Debbie came out to greet me I was completely comfortable. Her room is Private and very relaxing. She sat with me & really listened. She told me things I was feeling even before I told them to her! Which I was very impressed by! I’ve been going to a few Dr’s for fertility issues an insomnia concerns and it was so nice to have someone really understand an just listen. And have answers! She is extremely knowledgable an caring, Debbie really goes above and beyond what I ever expected. An the needle part of the session (which I was so afraid of) is now one of the most relaxing parts Of my week! I would recommend her to anyone!

Instant relaxation. I am going to Dr. Rodriguez for fertility acupuncture before doing IVF. I have done acupuncture in the past and my experience here has been amazing. I don’t relax very well and mind tends to wander, but she has the magic touch and I catch myself snoring during the sessions.

its amazing what acupuncture can do when done correctly. Debbie is by far my favorite! she has been so sweet and helpful going above and beyond what most people would do for a new patient. i can not say enough good things about her and the fact that she is helping me with some very painful neck and back issues is just an added bonus. you can tell she loves what she does for a living and i definitely appreciate that.

Debbie has been treating me for over 2 years and is solely responsible for the vast improvement in my health and overall sense of well being. Debbie’s expertise in treating my fibromyalgia surpassed traditional medicine’s standard protocols. I have reduced my pain medicications in half.
As a result of radiation treatments for cancer I have lymphedema in my leg. I have not used the wrapping treatment with layers of compression bandages, the hot uncomfortable compression stockings, or my gradient compression pump to control the swelling now that I am treated by Debbie.
Debbie is kind, professional, and consistent in obtaining results with every health issue I have presented. Unlike traditional medical Doctors she listens to what I am saying and I always feel comfortable with her treatment plan before we start. I consider Debbie as my PCP and will always see her and try acupunctor first.

I’ve gotta be honest and say that I had very little faith in the benefits of acupuncture at the outset. Needles stuck in your body having health benefits? Really? Man I was blind but now I see! My girlfriend bought me a discount coupon online because I had been having trouble sleeping… was under some major stress. She insisted I try out this place because she had tried it for herself and swore by the treatment. By the third treatment I noticed how much easier it was for me to relax. I was soon sleeping like a baby. I really dont understand how this works but it does. And Debbie really knows her stuff.

I met Dr. Debbie by coincidence — she was visiting a friend and while she was waiting for her friend, we started talking. I had been working with another acupuncturist on a complex set of health issues, and seeing some results, but when I was telling Debbie about my health situation, the kinds of questions she asked and information she shared with me made it very clear that she was extremely knowledgeable in her field — and that her sessions are very personalized to each individual.
I set up my first session with her, and loved how detailed of a health history she gathered, and how comfortable her room was. Her table was very soft and it was heated, and her room was soothing.
As she was choosing where to put the needles, it was clear that she was very intuitive, and also that she was communicating with my body to find the exact right spots. And with her gentle approach, I barely felt most of the needles that were used.
After the session, based on her diagnosis and my individual needs, she concocted a formula of herbs specific to my situation, and for a very reasonable price that was very helpful to me (despite the fact that it was made from Chinese Herbs and didn’t taste great). I happily signed up for a 5-​session package.
I’ve been to a number of acupuncturists — but with Dr. Debbie, I’m feeling the changes, and I actually look forward to the sessions because they are so relaxing and warm.
Also, a pregnant friend of mine went to her because she was nauseated all day, every day, and it was past the first tri-​mester. With one session, and some take-​home acupressure points to use, my friend’s nausea wennt away. It was quite a testimony to Dr. Debbie’s ability to heal.
I highly recommend Dr. Debbie to anyone who is new to acupuncture or experienced with it.
