These guys know their stuff and are super helpful. They are willing to listen and help you troubleshoot even when it doesn’t necessarily mean a sale for them. If you’ve got irrigation troubles, this is the place to go. If you can’t fix it yourself, they’ll refer you to an expert who can. Highly recommend this place.

Awesome customer service. Very knowledgeable and well stocked. We are total novice and Napoleon learned us well. He is patient and explains each step and we saved so much by setting up the entire system on our own as oppose to hiring someone.

I’ve been using Poway Irrigation for all my home and office irrigation needs for almost 20 years. I love that it is locally, family owned and run! They are helpful, knowledgeable and honest. Sometimes you might pay a little more for an individual part than at Home Depot, but the quality, expertise and honesty make it a better value here by far! The only slightly negative thing is they have regular hours catering more to contractors and maintenence companies. I’m always bummed when I need something on a Sunday and have to resort to Home Depot. But good for Poway resident and owner Jim and his staff, they actually get some family time too! Great place!!!

Need help to trouble shoot sprinkler/​valve not going on «go to Poway Irrigation.
Napoleon showed me how to test the solenoid and later he replaced the diaphragm.
Sprinkler #2 works with the timer. Saved my grass for this weeks 90+ temperature.
Free advice and part was $ 8.

I recently bought a replacement diaphragm for a sprinkler valve that was leaking. Napoleon was friendly and helpful. He listened to my description of the valve and the leak, sold me a replacement diaphragm, and told me to bring it back for a refund if it didn’t solve my problem. It was the last one they had of that type and was an open package – he even offered me a sandwich baggie in which to carry it home.
Alas, the replacement diaphragm didn’t solve my problem – it was for a different valve – close but ill-​fitting and didn’t stop my leak. When I returned it for a refund another employee first told me that I’d had it in the valve too long or must have tremendous water pressure because it had left a permanent seat image of the valve in the diaphragm. When he inspected it next to a new part taken from an open package he found no difference he agreed to the refund (it really was like new) and then, a moment later, reneged saying I didn’t have the spring that comes with a new diaphragm.
The open package item he used to compare to my diaphragm had no spring and mine had no spring when I it was sold to me. I explained this to him and he still refused the refund.
So, unless you are a professional and know exactly what you need I advise you to go elsewhere. Poway Irrigation reneged on their promise for to refund my money if the part didn’t fit.
I won’t do business with them again and recommend you don’t, either.

This is a place to go if you have any question about irrigiation or what you need. The staff is very knowledgable and have a great selection.
They have individual pieces rather than buying a bag of 50 like other retailers. Also, I can find a lot more options here than at big box stores.
For the expertise and options, this is my #1 place hands down.

I went to Poway Irrigation because one of my sprinkler valves wasn’t closing all the way. I expected them to sell me a new valve, but Napoleon showed me how to flush my old valve to clean it out. It worked, saving me time and money! I’ll definitely be going back for all my home irrigation needs.

I was having trouble with a sprinkler valve. I took it in, so that I would get the right part. The guy behind the counter told me that when we get really frosty weather the water freezes inside and the parts get loose. He took a screwdriver, took it apart, tightened the inside screws, put it back together and it worked perfectly. No charge. They helped me select a new irrigation controller when my old one finally died. I’m female, blond and not familiar with these. The lady behind the counter walked me through the setup, showed me how to program it and I installed it with no trouble. A professional could probably have done it in less time, but I got through it just fine in less than an hour. They carry quality parts and can help you with any irrigation problems.
