Solaris Senior Living Community

My mother was at the Gateway senior home for aprox1year; Very beautiful, good food, activities outside things to do as well card games ice cream socials. My problem, when you love one can’t express easily or at all by way of talking. they get LOST IN THE CROWD. They will no longer be brought to the ativities but wlil remain their rooms with the tv on by themseves. and lonely. The ratio to residents from nurses is way to short 17 residents 1 or 2 nurses to help with dressing, toileting, falling getting ready for bed showering. and there they would be waiting for them in their chairs, and if there wan’t anyone to help with the poddy timing when they came late. the accident happened in their cloths., furniture. This place good for retirement age only, not for those who live after retirement age, with loss of speech, loss of legs or becoming to that time. The nurses have the meds down, but showering is also a struggle. It looks good for the family when we visited, but when you see you loved ones setting by themselves hopeing for some conversation and beingPUT IN FRONTOF THE TV. it’s hartbreatingl Because of this we moved mom to Solais Senior Living… it is a room and board some that separate bath. there are 6 residents in each home and there are 6 homes with3 health workers everyday all the time No Sleeping ! Mom now has begun to talk again NO, Yes, smiles, laughes and moving her legs in the chair to walk lllllllllin one months time. Bottom line, They take of them like they are family our family and the resicents know it. it wan’t be as fancy as Gatweay but your loved ones will love it. Gary is the director & we have Joyme in our home. Good Luch, we are soooo much happier now, and so is mom with her new friends…

The care my mother is getting here is absolutely loving, healthy, and amazing. I am so thankful for this facility. You just can’t go wrong here. My mother is living with Alzheimer’s. They always make her comfortable, well fed, clean, touched, loved, and human. You don’t find this kind of care just anywhere. The programs are stimulating and fun; geared for each individual. I am very thankful for the caregivers there.
