History

Established in 2001.

Jason started StepsTone Studio in order to create a space for local musicians to record music at an affordable price in a calm and creative atmosphere. Whether looking to create a demo for a press kit or full album production, the studio has been a literal stepping stone for local musicians to get their music heard and take them to the next level.

Jason has been drumming for 20 years. He has experience with marching, jazz, orchestral, and musical theater drumming, and offers lessons to all age groups, with a focus on middle school and high school. He is a strong supporter of the Poway music programs and an advocate for keeping music and the arts alive in education.

In 2005, Jason began to work as an audio visual tech at a local resort. While there, he set-​up and operated sound systems for over 200 weddings. Positive feedback and happy couples were a sign to keep this experience as part of what StepsTone has to offer.
