Very inconsiderate staff and stuck up managers. Will not support this store because they only care about the bottom lone, not their customers.

Just stood in the gun shop for 25 minutes and got no help or even acknowledged I was there. Only 3 other customers. Wanted to like this place. It’s really nice and close to my work but their customer service is terrible. Came in to buy a $ 1000 gun but I will take my business elsewhere.

Was really excited to try this range. Driving up, the place looked great and was slightly crowded. Horrible experience though — the place was the most disorganized service business I have ever seen — run by a bunch of teenagers (today anyway). Here’s the issues.
1. The service line is very disorganized. There was no line and the 2 kids couldn’t keep up with who was next etc. so we waited about 20 mins just to talk to someone.
2. Next — a very through video talking about how organized and safe they are and we should be too (10 mins)
3. Next — after another disheveled mess to get to the desk — we were assigned a lane and entered in. The target machine was inop. Looked around for a range master (yes the video said they always have one) — none to be found. Soooooo — went to the teenager working the desk and was told she would get someone right over. 20 mins later — no one came — so went back out. Asked for a new lane. She said she forgot and would get someone over. Also told me no other lanes were available. Another 45 mins down the tubes.
4. An older teenager came and tinkered with it — said it was broken — and walked us up to get a new lane. After over an hour we would finally shoot! Things were looking up. Well they assigned us another lane that was definitely supposed to be open (they hand out lanyards that only the desk would have of a lane was open). We gathered our gear and now saw an instructor and student that commandeered our empty booth for lessons.
After more than an hour of this crap — we said we were leaving. The kid asked us for a dollar for the target before we left (that was stuck on their broken lane).
Miserable experience. Worst ever. Stay far away unless they up their training and standards their video pretends they have.
Oh one more thing — a real cook with some AR with silencer was next to us for an hour of standing around — would have never let the guy in.

I come here to shoot usually 2 or more times a week. Beautiful facility. Staff is always helpful and friendly.

Horrible experience! I had been looking for a specific gun for my husband as a birthday surprise and needed it before a certain day. I spoke with 2 separate sales people in the gun sales dept at Govenors Gun Club in Hiram who both assured me the gun would be there within 2 – 3 days. I paid over $ 1000 up front for this gun and planned on giving it to my husband at a surprise party I have planned for him. When I didn’t hear from the store I called to make sure I could come in and pick up the gun however they had no idea where the gun was, if it had even been ordered or when it would be there. The manager kept making excuses for why the gun wasn’t there and even went as far as saying I «misunderstood» the 2 sales people when they told me the gun would arrive in 2 – 3 days. I made it very clear WHEN I needed the gun by and I feel like I was lied to just to make the sale. The first person I spoke to was Paul who I called while I was at another much larger more established gun retailer asking if he could get the gun sooner and he told me it would be there within 2 – 3 days, he even offered to match the price if I purchased it from them. When I went to the store on Friday the 28^th I spoke with Justin who AGAIN told me the gun would arrive by Tues or Wednesday of the following week. When I had not received a call from them by 5pm on Wednesday and knowing my husbands party was the following day I called the store. The store manager was in contact via text with the owner Christina who apparently didn’t feel that it was important to try to help with this issue and would not return my call. The manager kept promising to call me back but I had to call him 3 times only to hear the same line of BS. They don’t have the gun, don’t know where it is and don’t know when it will be there. But one thing they are sure of is they got my money. I have requested a refund and will be filing a complaint with the BBB first thing in the morning. I will never make another purchase from this establishment again. I have a brother and son in law enforcement and both told me to purchase the gun at a more trusted establishment stating GGC had not had good reports from others in the LEO community but unfortunately I didn’t listen. Maybe I’m wrong but it concerns me when an order for a gun is placed and no one knows where it is? Shouldn’t there be tighter control and closer monitoring of weapons shipments? How can no one know where this gun is???
Update…So I get a call on Thursday from Paul at Govenors Gun Club in Powder Springs that the gun is in and I can come pick it up. I immediately called Paul back to let him know I would be there that evening or the following day to pick it up. When I got to GGC to pick up the gun today, the salesperson walked around the counter to another counter and pulled the gun out of the display case unwrapped, missing it’s seal and not in the box. I questioned why the gun was in the display case and was given the excuse they didn’t know if I was coming to get the gun and they had money tied up in it. Naturally at this point I am livid! I responded saying you don’t have any money tied up in this gun I do, I own this gun. Bought and paid for so it should have never been removed from its box and certainly the security seal should never have been removed. I asked to speak to the owner Christina. When she came out of the back you could see the attitude on her face as she walked toward me. Again I asked why is my gun in your display case for sale? Again her reply was «we called you several times with no response and we weren’t sure if you were coming back to get the gun or not». AGAIN I said I bought the gun, it’s mine why wouldn’t I come get it furthermore, I did call and spoke with Paul on Thursday to let him know I would be there to get the gun. She turned and asked Paul who confirmed I told him I would be there to pick up the gun. I reiterated to her it would not matter either way the gun was already paid for and should have never been removed from the box until I arrived to do so myself in their presence. She then commented that she saw the post I left on Unilocal which I acknowledged and replied I would also now report them to the BBB as this was not right. I bought and paid for this gun ahead of time it was mine and should have never been placed up for sale. Making a scene waving her arms in the air as she walked away from me she responded «I don’t care who you report it to». In a final note the case appeared used and the packaging was not in the condition I am used to expecting when purchasing a new SigSauer. I have serious concerns they were attempting to sell me a used gun as a new one. I will continue to pursue this with other regulating authorities as I have concerns regarding this company’s practices. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I just read a bad review posted on this site and am in complete shock that this customer had such a terrible experience. I have been a member at this establishment and have purchased multiple guns and accessories and have NEVER been disappointed. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Paul, Cameron, Justin, Christina — and everyone else working there has bent over backwards to meet our needs. I’m sorry this customer had a bad experience but it sounds like she waited too late to buy a present for her spouse. One year my husbands gift came late and it was my fault for not ordering sooner to ensure there was enough cushion. I had no right attacking Amazon for my mistake since there are no guarantees in the shipping industry.
I hope everyone has the opportunity to shop here and use the facilities. Trust me — you won’t be disappointed. Wonderful place to spend the day with great people.

Definitely a good place to shoot, it’s very clean, organized, and friendly staff. There’s also lots of comfortable waiting areas with nice furniture for people to rest in, they’ve got some pretty unique selections when it comes to rifles and accessories too. The range is clean, and the best part about it is how they keep it cool in there, one of the biggest issues with most indoor ranges is that it’s always really hot in there. Only drawback is that they’re kind of picky about what rifle calibers you can shoot, I’ve been to almost every range in the state of GA and they’ve let me shoot anything short of 50 cal and 338 lapua. For some reason though, they wouldn’t let me shoot my 8 mm Mauser in there, not sure why, but if they say no, it must be a good enough reason for them. So before you bring any rifle other than 223/5.56 or something along the lines of 308, I would give them a call first to make sure it’s ok to shoot.

LOVE this place! Nice staff, clean range and they even have an archery range. Renting guns is like $ 10 plus the purchase of ammo. They always seem to have ammo in stock. I do wish they did bow rentals though. I’m looking to buy one but want to test one first. But other than that this place is awesome.

This is a great place to relax if you are a FMJ member (which I suggest). They have TV’s and great food and a great atmosphere. I could not say enough about the staff here, they make it great.

The people are friendly, attentive and patient. The service and selection are great. As a first timer, I have to admit I was a bit scared and needed a bit of hand holding. But they made sure I was comfortable and made me feel so confident. When in Georgia do as georgians do… go coon hunting lol.

My husband and I joined Governors Gun Club before they opened in September of 2013. The business is open to the public, it is not for members only. They have a great selection of guns as well as a lot of merchandise. Along with the 16 lanes, they also have an archery range and sell a lot of archery equipment too.
What makes GGC a great place is the staff. They know us by name. We have made some amazing friends over the last year.
We recommend the FMJ membership which gives you access to the Freedom Lounge as well as many other perks. The food is amazing. Other levels of memberships are available as well.

Great place. Awesome staff in the sales area and in the FMJ lounge. They make you feel welcomed. Have met a lot of great friends since joining this club. Highly recommend if you have never tried it out.

This place is beautiful inside and out. Staff have been great each time my wife and I have been there. It is close to our house and with living in the suburbs makes being able to practice with our guns something we can do easily on a regular basis. Only giving it 4 stars because they don’t always have ammo in stock, I always buy in advance from a competitor, I don’t want to get to the range and not have ammo!

16 lanes. Great facility. Very knowledgeable staff. Full selection of rental firearms available as well as for sell. Ammo available for purchase, although it is pricey. Only $ 16 for 1 shooter to get a hour on the range which is a great price. I enjoy myself every time I go and will highly recommend anyone who wants to shoot.

Great gun club, it was our first time shooting or even maneuvering a gun. The staff was Great and we felt welcome (though we are not your typical shooters) and the safety officer was with us the ENTIRE time. We are definitely going back and I encourage any first time or seasoned shooter to check this place out. It has tons of lanes and the area is not jam packed like some other places closer to us.

Very nice facility but not the best in service from what I saw. Asked about purchasing a gun and was told they couldnt get it because they are not available. I even offered to special order it and was told i couldn’t. Bought it the next day from a competitor.

From the outside, the building has a very warm, inviting appearance. It’s obviously a very nice establishment, full of people passionate for guns. I went with a large group of 15 or so, and the staff didn’t take too kindly to that. After watching the mandatory 9 minute long, low quality YouTube video on gun safety, we went off to prepare to shoot. It took over 30 minutes to get everyone checked in because the staff was so disorganized, and most of our group stood around waiting for help with no clue of what to do next. The shooting was fun, and the range itself was very modern and professional.
The gun rentals here are more fairly priced than other ranges I’ve been to, but still don’t expect it to be cheap. When checking out and making our payments, we discovered that there were many surprise fees such as a $ 10 fee for accidentally shooting the ceiling once. There was also no indicator prior to shooting that it was an hourly charge, so we were charged an extra hour for going only 18 minutes over an hour. It seemed they were very intent on finding any way to take more of our money, and it ended up being over $ 600 for our entire group for an hour and 18 minutes.
Overall, it was a professional and fun experience for the group, though the staff seemed very disorganized and it was very expensive. If you have money and patience, this range is for you.

Great place. Stop by at least twice a week for a little range time.
Personel highly qualified. Have even had dinner with my wife in th FMJ lounge, very taste. Looking forward to my next trip there.
