The goal of this hotel is to be the standard by which all others are measured. Our intent is to be «More Than a Room». We believe in quality and service. «Fresh and delicious» guides our breakfast. Mere hospitality is an insufficient description of our service. We really do believe that people who choose to stay with us must not and shall not be disappointed. Rather, they shall be amazed by what we offer and what we are.
History
Established in 1999.
By profession, I am a turkey farmer. In the mid 90’s our turkey flocks began being stricken with cholera. This continued to the point I despaired of my future in the turkey breeder business. My wife and I had seven children to provide for so it was apparent we had to find an alternative vocation. Consequently, we researched alternatives and determined the hotel industry suited us perfectly. Further research led us to Prairie du Chien. We sank every dime we had and mortgaged everything we had to build our AmericInn. It was a «white-knuckle flight» to be sure. But we were ready for the future. (And the cholera came to an end too.) God is so good to us.

My wife and I have been married 40 years and have produced «kids above average» who are producing their «kids above average». Mary and I remain sweethearts and best friends.
Our walk with Jesus defines our character and world view. It also drives our vision of loving our staff and guests so much that it will be evidenced in their experience at our hotel.
