Que’s Bar & River Deck

Food was delicious. We sat on the deck overlooking the water… Perfect day to sit outside. Nice view. Owner was very nice and personable. I reserve my 5 stars for high end places, but for the money this place was a great choice.

Great location and good food. Service was personable if a bit slow. Food was not typical bar food, it was much better! We went on a Sunday evening for a friend’s birthday and it was a perfect setting. Unfortunately they butchered her meal which she asked to have with no gluten. So she got the chicken salad sandwich without the bread and they also forgot the bacon, cheese, and onions. The other sandwiches however were excellent. Highly recommended for a quick evening out in Sauk.

Nice bar with a giant jenga game and good tap beer selection (I had some sort of porter that I would definitely drink again). There is a deck that overlooks the Wisconsin River that I’d love to check out if I’m back there during the summer. I had a veggie panini that was really good (there’s a decent size menu, but I don’t know how long they serve food, as I was there for lunch).

Que’s was a great choice for me and my friends to stop after visiting Wollersheim. The food and drinks were awesome and the bartender (Que himself!) was super friendly and fun. It isn’t quite a dive bar, but has that comfortable small town feel. It’s nice and clean and has a great view from the deck! I recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, great drinks, and great company.

Stopped here on the way to devil’s lake. This is a great spot to stop for beer and sandwiches. Not to miss is their fantastic deck overlooking the Wisconsin River. They have a decent selection of wisconsin beers on tap and some great sandwiches. I even saw a bald eagle fly by.

They don’t except credit or debit cards so I wasn’t able to try their food but the establishment looked clean and orderly and the servers where nice definitely a place I have to try when I have cash.

Were up in the area to see the eagles and needed some lunch. Had read the Unilocal reviews and decided this is our place. We walked in between the rushes and had a seat at the bar so we could talk to the owner. Ordered hot ham and cheese and a wrap. Both came with French onion soup — tasty on a cold day. Really enjoyed talking to the owner as we had our meal. View from the deck would have been nice on a warmer, sunnier day. Not many eagles for viewing, but the entire experience was still quite nice. We’ll be back… next year!

Stopped here for a light meal after finding ourselves in the area on a Monday night in February. My traveling companion was thrilled they had Leinenkugel’s Big Butt Doppelbock on tap. I accidentally ordered her the wrong pint but it was no problem! The bartender simply poured a replacement. We were looking for a light, quick meal that wasn’t fast food, as it was past the normal dining hour and Que’s certainly fit the bill. My friend ordered the continental salad with chicken. Her salad was good sized and the greens were über fresh. I had the grilled chicken with pesto. It was served on a grilled ciabatta roll with roasted red peppers, and served with a pickle spear and slaw. It was very tasty. The service was fast, efficient and extremely friendly.

We got odd looks when we walked in, for some reason. Maybe it was cuz we had our two young kids, but it IS Wisconsin, and children in a bar is commonplace! Despite the cold welcome, everything else about our visit was top notch. Each of us got sandwiches: The Bodega, chicken pesto, and grilled ham and cheeses were each really very tasty. Very nice beer selection too, and my wife and I each got beers from a brewery in Lake Mills. Our waitress was great — nice, courteous, attentive, with good recommendations. We’d definitely go to Que’s again.

I went here for lunch after golfing. The place has a nice sign and a beautiful view of the river, however the service is very slow, the staff is rude, and the food tastes like it comes out of a George Foreman grill.
It’s a shame such a great location is wasted.

Maybe it was a bad day, but maybe not. My wife and I ate at Que’s this afternoon (I really should say attempted to eat). I should preface my comments by saying that both my wife and I spent many years as waitstaff/​bartenders during college, and we don’t have unrealistic expectations when dining out. Our experience at Que’s began by heading to the deck only to see all of the available tables (3 of the 4) covered with glasses, plates, etc. This would be fine if the place was busy but there were only two other customers and they were on the deck as well. Perhaps all the tables left around the same time just minutes before we arrived and the bartender didn’t have the time to clear the tables. But she was sitting in the bar listening to music when we got there. Fine, no big deal. Then we received what has to be the least friendly service I have ever experienced, but this is fine too because every waiter has their own style and smiling or asking questions besides «you know what you want yet?» is overrated. The real problem was the time it took (more than 1 hour with 4 total customers) for two sandwiches, the quality of said sandwiches (kinda tasted like those microwave paninis), and that the bartender/​waitress didn’t ask us if we wanted more to drink or how the food was.
The bottom line is that Que’s is yucky, and the three other reviewers need to know that the Olive Garden is not a quality Italian restaurant (I throw this in there to insinuate that if you think Que’s is amazing, you also probably think that O.G. is great Italian.)

Found Que’s Bar and River Deck by accident — parked in front and could see the river out the back door, strolled in, received warm greeting and sat on the deck overlooking the beautiful Wisconsin River. Met Mr Que as he took our beverage order –a fresh muddleded Mojito and a tall, Jack & Coke — served efficiently and cold! Try the chunky guacamole and chips — fresh and delicious. Ordered Panini sandiwches — Hot Ham and Cheese and the house favorite — Italian — both were stacked thick with meat — very tasty. Had a fun time for lunch, Mr Que was very accommodating and the view is spectacular. Give Que’s a visit — I think you’ll enjoy the hospitality and a delicious sandwich

This is the nicest pub in Sauk-​Prairie! Very appealing atmosphere and a great deck out back from which you can enjoy the river view. The beer selection is fantastic and they serve very tasty cocktails as well. They recently started serving food and offer a great selection of sandwiches, salads and a daily soup, too.
