Pierce Property Management

Thank you Pierce for finally fixing some of our broken items. Each item we submitted for repairs took several attempts to get the ball rolling. We still have a major broken home item, it’s been about four months now, a few emails and phone calls already submitted. Like the other items, I’m sure it’ll be fixed, eventually.

When you are signing Pierce’s credit application, there is a clause in there that reads: ««If deposit is paid and applicant decides not to take property prior to signing lease-​rental agreement, one-​half (½) of deposit money will be forfeited by applicant.» Be aware of this clause. Also be aware that they will not give you a copy of the signed credit app. with this language for you to refer back to. Because you have to sign the mandatory credit app to start the process, you also have to agree to these terms and conditions. I lost almost $ 1000 because of this.
Arizona is pro business and has zero oversight of these property management companies. Unlike when you buy and sell a home, the property management industry has very little regulation. So if you are moving from another state, understand that Arizona does not have the protection laws you may be used to.
Reread twice any document before signing with Pierce/​owner Diane Tenison and don’t sign unless you can have a copy of that signed document.
I was told by everyone I spoke to in Prescott not to do business with Pierce Property Management. I didn’t listen because I was desperate for a place to live… don’t fall victim like me and the others that have posted here.

The worst service that I have dealt with in a very long time. Do not have any customer service skills. Do not put their customer’s needs and concerns before their own. The lady at the front desk that answers the phones is helpful with as much information as she knows. My boyfriend and I just «technically» leased a property from them and were supposed to see the property today (traveled all the way from California mind you that) and guess what? Gina — the property manager DID NOT schedule the showing, and is out of town! HOW terrific! Almost a 9 hour trip for no reason. When I called, due to nobody showing up to the appointment that was made, no apologies were made. They treated me like I was dumb and did not know what i was talking about. I scheduled this showing about 2 weeks ago when i dropped off my deposit.
This has been a downward spiral with them. It all started with the first showing of the place, a different property manager was assigned to show us the place, that had very little knowledge of the unit because it wasn’t her area, so we were out of there in as little as 2 minutes (give or take). After the showing, we filled out the applications, and went to drop it off at the office alongside with the application fees. We asked to talk to GINA, but she was busy and couldn’t spare us a minute, so i asked to have her call when she freed up. NO CALL! 2 days after the application was submitted, our friends who also rented from PPM called and said they are getting charged a breach a lease because our IDs have their address on it (for residency and mail forwarding reasons), SO i called gina again, left multiple message, no call back. They also stopped our application but didn’t even bother to inform us of the situation. SO finally i said i will get a lawyer involved if she doesn’t call back. Received a call within 2 min from Gina after that. So I explained the situation to her and she had me type up a letter with that same information so they can continue our application. About 3 days later, we (my boyfriend and I) were informed that our application was approved. So we drove down (from California) to give them the deposit, and before driving down, scheduled an appointment to sit down and talk to gina. Well we got there, She didn’t even know what we were there for, kept us out in the lobby area and rushed us. I didn’t even bother asking her questions because of how rude she was. So we left. But before leaving, we scheduled an appointment to see the place we are leasing with her since she knows more about the property for today 1÷30÷2015 @ 10:30am and also for 2.16.2015 or the signing of the lease and 1^st (half months rent to give to them)… (we will see if she has this one scheduled)
Overall, this is to say, that i am very very dissatisfied with how everything panned out with them, I would cancel my deposit if i wasn’t short on time of searching for a different place through a different property management company. I truly hope that they do get their act together so that hopefully one day I can write a 5 star comment for them.
I myself work with property management companies and vendors, and know that this is not the customer service people want. I provide customer service and when dealing with other businesses, expect somewhat of the same customer service and professionalism that I myself provide to my clients.

After I moved in I read the blogs on Pierce property management. I had a deadline to move in, filled out the app, was approved and had to call numerous times to get the final paperwork. At first they responded to my calls for repairs (the first few weeks) then I emailed & called & went weeks with no response. I found it easier to just put up with broken items (ie no screen on window, no door lock etc) Luckily I took pictures when I moved in because they just sent me a herendous bill for the things ive been trying to get fixed & things that were on the «damaged» list when I moved in!!! Its too bad businesses cant run an ethical business by doing their jobs as promised to the owners & renters. Karma will bite them in the butt someday for not servicing and trying to cheat all the tenants to make up for their lack of integrity. If they cant make a profit honestly, they shouldnt be in business!

Prescott is my hometown. I have been an out of State property owner there for years. Pierce Property Management has always taken care of my rentals. From my side of the equation, I cannot say enough about Diane and the crew over at PPI ! They treat my places like they are their own. They are organized, run a very tight ship, no time has ever gone by with out having a great tenant properly screened and placed. They are quick to attend to things and they have a great group of local contractors to call on for maintenance and fixes. They get things done well and on budget. I am THANKFUL for the job well done… and with a great attitude of pride and integrity. Thank you Pierce Property Management!

Terrible service! I have called and left voicemails, sent e-​mail, never received a response. I received a complaint via e-​mail from Lisa at the Property Management, I’ve tried to call her and e-​mail her to find out what the issue was and she never answers or returns any messages or phone calls. They want me to pay a $ 50 fine, which I’m sure that’s why she refuses to talk to me. They’re out to get your money, terrible customer service. Do yourself a favor, do not go through this Property Management.

Pierce Property Management absolutely SUCKS! They are the most rude, unprofessional, out-​to-​get-​you jerks! They don’t return calls/​e-​mail. We moved into a home that was not anywhere near perfect and moved out with the home looking nicer than before (we take pride in our home and clean and fix things), yet we barely got any of our deposit back. Save yourself an enormous headache and DO NOT sign a lease with this awful company! I would never recommend them to anybody.

Cleaning Companies, Carpet Cleaners, Contrators ect…
They will ask you to do the work, then not want to pay you or they will want to re-​negotiate a lesser price. Now mind you… it is not do to the quality of work that you perform, they simply do not want to pay you.
They also do not seem to have any sort of best-​business practices in place.
Communication seems to be lacking, they will not respond to phone calls, emails or switch you to a different broker… it is a constant run-​around-​game!
Shameful.
Maybe I will open my own Property Management Company and give them a run for the money?

Really the rating is ZERO STARS!!! Contacted them about a property for rent in Prescott that I found online. Received a response advising to call the office for further info. I called the office and spoke to a very unprofessional woman. I made a tentative appointment for 3÷13÷12 to view one of their properties. The rude woman told me someone would call me back to confirm…2 days later I am still waiting for a confirming phone call. I have also resent them messages online… so far no response. Needless to say if this is how they treat prospective renters we surely don’t want this company as our landlords!!! Shameful!!!

We recently used Pierce Property Management when renting in Prescott. Our rental didn’t seem to be very important to them. They had all of our paperwork and information in plenty of time for a «first of the month» rental. We ended up having to keep our moving van for two extra days while we waited on them. They «hadn’t had time» to check their voice mail to verify information. Then when we paid our deposit/​rents to them… it took an extra day because they were «in meetings» and couldn’t be disturbed. Frustration and needless waiting. Prescott NEEDS a première firm to give some of these places some competition!
