This is a follow-​up to another recent Subaru purchase I made. While the sales aspect of the transaction went rather well, my complaint deals with Tim’s not paying off the balance on my trade-​in vehicle as stated in the sales contract. I had expected Tims would get this done prior to my trade-​in being placed on the market and up for sale. While my trade-​in sold within a few days Tims never paid off the old loan. As a result I am now dealing bank fees. So far I have left numerous messages with 4 different Tims employees and not a single one has returned my phone call. It appears Tims is only concerned about the selling cars, and making a profit on a trade-​in. It seems Tims has a high amount of employee turn-​around, making it hard for strong customer service consistency. It is impossible for me to recommend Tims and in fact will keep me from ever buying another Subaru, Toyota, GMC/​Buick, or Hyundai for I don’t ever want to deal with the Tims again.

I purchased a 2014 Subaru Impreza WRX recently from Jason Jenkins here at Tim’s Auto Group and was the absolute best car buying experience I’ve had. From start to finish everything went extremely smooth and everyone I encountered were very friendly. At the time all i had was my Hayabusa and it had broke down on me. We did most of the deal over the phone and Jason was great to drive the car from Prescott to me here in Phoenix. Before purchasing the Subie i noticed there was bad damage to the front bumper and they were quick to replace it for me. Also i noticed the previous owner had removed the badges from the rear of the car and even though it’s not a huge deal, i wanted the original OEM badges put back on. Jason went out of his way to purchase the OEM badges for me and to have them put on when my new bumper comes in. Overall I am very happy with Tim’s Auto Group and have been recommending them to my close friends and family.

If you are in the market for a car, don’t go to Tim’s Subaru of Prescott. Our experience in purchasing a new car started out smoothly enough, but quickly went down hill once the Sales Manager, Chris Paschal, entered the picture. First encounter… negotiating the cost… he started with a grossly inflated price without any explanation of how he arrived at a total almost $ 4000 above MSRP. When we asked for a breakdown of his figures, he became vague, evasive and dishonest.
The second encounter occurred when, a week after our purchase of a new Forester, we decided to cancel the tinting and roof cross bars we had paid for and instead ask for a refund. We expected a re-​stocking or shipping fee to be deducted from our refund, but Mr. Paschal didn’t think ANY refund was warranted. He became argumentative, difficult and evasive… but agreed to «look into» our refund and call us back. When we mentioned that on-​line reviews repeatedly stated that this was a standard stalling and roadblock tactic at Tim’s, he dismissed all negative reviews as simply coming from disgruntled, difficult customers for whom there is no pleasing. Our suspicions were realized after 8 days passed with no call back.
Apparently, Mr. Paschal NEVER thinks the customer has a legitimate claim. However, you do have recourse — a call to Subaru Headquarters in Cherry Hill, NJ quickly turned this situation around in our favor. Clearly, the Chris Paschals of the world do not want the car manufacturers examining their dishonest and unfair treatment of customers who have just spent thousands on their products. Without the intervention of Subaru’s corporate office, we have no doubt that we would have been cheated out of $ 621. Don’t let this dishonest bully bully you — call Subaru Headquarters at 800−782−2783 if you are getting the run around at Tim’s. Better yet, just avoid this dealership altogether, particularly if you are female.

This dealer is shady… they ask you to put a deposit on a car u come to pick up the car and do the paperwork and they sell the car you put the deposit on??? and then try to sell a crappie car… wtf??? You need to beware of this dealership… it’s worth a drive to Phoenix to get a better deal. …all the positive reviews are probably written by the employees… shady shady shady… buyers beware!!!

Was completely mislead by the pricing on their website for 2014 crosstreks… After an hour or so working with Jason, the «e-​sales» guy… We were delivered actually «higher» pricing than the discounted price on the web site for exact vehicle without including promoted and anticipated additional discount per the website! WOW… We will never even entertain buying from this group and recommend you do your homework as well.
Its always lovely being underestimated as a well qualified buyer. Heading to Phoenix for our purchases going forward.

Don’t expect to get a fair price out of them. Most of their pre owned inventory is prices well above KBB. Went in with a quote on a vehicle listed at $ 18,995 from an out of state dealership. Identical car at Tim’s was priced at $ 24,995. Rather than driving I thought I’d give Tim’s a chance. Went in, salesperson knew nothing about the vehicle, and was told by the sales manager that they would not negotiate on the price. Needless to say I went out of state and ended up getting the vehicle for $ 17 995, gave me an extra grand off for driving.

HORRIBLE car buying experience. You would think since this is a small town they wouldn’t scam, rip off, lie and avoid their customers, but that’s exactly what they do. Overcharged me for my car, lied about it and now won’t see me or take my calls. The GM ‘Ali’ is always ‘unavailable’ when I call or even go in person, he obviously does not care about unsatisfied customers and every other ‘manager’ there has lied to me. They don’t take your calls, call you back and just hope that you go away. And, as a woman, they think you are clueless and dumb, so they can get away with scamming you even more. My sales person was great, but he has nothing to do with the finance part or deal making… that’s where they fail.
It’s a hassle, but go down to the Valley to buy a car, there are a lot more dealerships down there and if they try to scam you, go to another one. I wish I had read the negative reviews I’ve found all over the internet about this auto group… it would have saved me a lot of time and frustration and thousands of dollars!

What a mess at Tim’s Toyota service. I had an appointment last week for a simple service and was told it would be a least 2 hours. Why? Someone didn’t show up! I don’t have time to wait so I rescheduled for the following week. Same thing! 2 hours for a service. Seems there is a new service mgr. and they are in transition. Svc advisors take you out and show you your fluids. Really! That will go over great when it 30degrees outside. They are so far behind as it is. Running around like chickens. We bring our car to the dealership because we trust them to tell us the truth about what we need. My car sat for ten minutes after it was done because he was trying to handle many other things. The waiting room was full, the car bay was full and everyone I talked to was pissed. I left there so frazzled and late for another appt. been a solid customer since 06 and never seen it this bad! Again, What a mess!!!

Purchased a Toyota from another dealership and had to bring it here for service. I was a little scared due to past experiences at another local car dealership and their «service». Derek was amazing, totally informative and wonderful. If I have to have this vehicle serviced again I would bring it back there simply due to the way Derek was with us. Thank you!

I took my car in for an oil change. Aside from the service person trying to be a humorist-​which in truth was just insulting sarcasm-​the oil change took an hour and a half. This was during the middle of the week in the AM and there was only one other person in the waiting area.
This is the first and last time I will use this dealership for anything including buying a car.

Although we feel we got a decent deal on the car we purchased, I’m not proud to say I purchased our vehicle here. They do not follow through on promises they make, they do things halfway (saying they will give us a complimentary tank of gas and car wash-barely!-we got a little over half a tank and our car was still filthy after leaving it with them for hours!) If you’re not going to do it 100% then don’t offer! They also refuse to return phone calls, and I also smelled alcohol on a salesman’s breath. I would never recommend this place to anyone. We were supposed to get a 3 month subscription to Sirius AS ADVERTISED, they refused to respond to us about this. All in all this car buying experience was ANNOYING.
