A chick visiting a junkyard? Yup, that’s me! Believe it or not, it was actually fun. My spouse needed a rim and I agreed to undertake the project with him, tire iron in hand. There’s a $ 1 fee per person to enter the junkyard but it’s a $ 1 well spent. They have a ton of cars. Before entering one of the guys will check if they have the car you’re looking for, but then you’re on your own to see if they have what you need. We found a rim, but we didn’t need the tire. They will charge you for all the items you walk out with, since I obviously can’t separate the tire from the rim inside the junk yard, but if you bring it back, you’ll be refunded. The rim we got was about $ 19. Perfecto.
You will get dirty so wear the appropriate clothes. I think that’s a given for guys, but girls, that’s your heads up.
