He sure is a friendly outgoing person! And ultimately, the work that his carpenter-​builders did was very good and his prices were very fair. Disputes were resolved fairly evenly — he gives and takes nicely.

But don’t expect him to micro-​manage or ensure your construction is going well. That’s for other folks to do…and if they don’t, he won’t know or even care. The PM he put on our job was clearly not up to the task, and it became our problem not «John August Schumacher’s». Lots of balls dropped, many never thrown in the first place.

Despite the year-​long delay and the many disappointments, the job was done reasonably well and we were not ripped off. Could’ve done worse. .. would’ve hoped to have done better.
