Princeton Marriott at Forrestal

Amazing Spa Experience! Everyone was attentive & professional. Ashley was at the reception desk with a cheerful smile & gave a tour of the spa. Pia gives an incredible massage! The facility was clean, beautiful & serene.

This is a pretty basic 1980’s vintage Marriott, however it is in a very peaceful office park close to Princeton surrounded by woods. We were here for a weekend event and would offer a couple of comments. First, because this facility was originally built as a conference center, the rooms are very small when converted to a two bed format. Everything was comfortable but not much space for two people to navigate. Heaven help you if you had kids in the room with you. The restaurant was convenient as there is not much else in the area. However the second morning we came down for the breakfast buffet, the fruit dishes on the buffet were covered with fruit flies. Need to fix that fast, guys. The reason I am awarding this four stars is that I’m not sure I have ever encountered such genuinely helpful and enthusiastic staff. EVERYONE, from the bellman to the manager to the night maid went out of their way to make sure they greeted customers and immediately addressed any needs. Really a standout in that regard, the management has trained staff well and it shows.

Meh… That pretty much sums up my feelings on the hotel experience here. It wasn’t bad at all, but everything was fairly average and not special.
I stayed here on a Saturday evening in January. The lobby is beautiful and I’m told that the spa experience was excellent. And that’s great. However, the rooms were really outdated and overall just not very special. Bed, décor, bathroom, very average. The rooms didn’t come with refrigerator, which wouldn’t be a huge deal if the room was more modernized.
The view from the room was actually pretty nice as it looked out into the woods, which is kind of peaceful. The other positive was that the television offers streaming service for things like Netflix. This was huge, and my time in the room was spent using it.
Overall I likely will pass on staying here going forward just because you can get more for your money by staying at a most other hotels.

Rooms were very clean and spacious. When u walk into this unique hotel you will immediately be relaxed. The staff is wonderful. Shout out to Karen in the lounge who really made our stay relaxing. They pay attention to details, learn your name and make sure that when they see you they smile and check on your stay. Would definitely stay here again!

The Princeton Marriot Spa is a treat! Very peaceful environment with great staff! If you want a great massage ask for Ken! He is AMAZING! Your body turns to jelly you will feel so relaxed! They have great products and many services to make you feel beautiful & relaxed. This place is a gem!

Here on business and glad I stayed here. From a wonderful front desk, to a clean room with exceptional service from Carmen, to the management being in the lobby wishing me a good day each morning. … it was just great. The food in the pub was amazing. Had the half bbq chicken which was perfect and delicious. Only draw back… wine is way over priced. But everything else out weighs that. Great place!

This place is a little uneven. The rooms are clean and the furniture is new. But, my first room as adjacent to some large machinery that kept making a large pulsing sound. The staff were very accommodating and let me move to another. That’s nice, but it makes me wonder why they’d let a room be that noisy in the first place.
The 2^nd room was far quieter, but suffered from a few small quirks. First, the toilet wouldn’t flush unless you jiggled with it a lot. Second, the bathroom smelled of mold. I couldn’t tell if that smell came from inside the walls or somewhere else, but ick. Third, the staff forgot to leave shampoo. I was so tired that I let all of these things slide, but discerning Unilocalers should know that there are some quality control issues here.
The conference facilities were good and the food was edible, with a fair selection of healthy dishes. The chicken was dry, but still flavorful with some kind of mushroom sauce. There was some wilty asparagus, salad, and other dishes that were not memorable, but thankfully, not offensive. The fruits were bland, although we were out of season.
That said, the staff were friendly and the hotel had lots of nice areas for our party to chat and mingle. Despite the minor quibbles, the room was clean and comfortable. I’d probably stay here again if I’m in the area, although I’d definitely compare a few other hotels before putting down my credit card.

Though the hotel is a bit old but it is very well maintained. It is in a serene setting, a little off the beaten path. It is within convenient driving distance to many eateries and princeton downtown. Service is very friendly and you feel well cared for while in the hotel. A good choice while visiting princeton for sure

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for the weekend and it was so relaxing. Soon as you enter the premises you feel relaxed. Is very quiet and welcoming. Anthony at the front desk was so nice, very professional, and friendly. The rooms are very clean, bed is so comfortable, the food at the bar is delicious and the drinks too. I really don’t have anything negative to say about this place. The pool is nice too. The whole place is amazing and it did not feel like we were in NJ. This will definitely be our little weekend getaway :)

I have been staying at this hotel weekly for almost 20 months, and I can say without a doubt that the staff here is the most genuine group of people you will find. They don’t just help you because you are a customer, they help you because they are a friend.
They have gone wayyyyy above and beyond their duties and go as far as to send my 1 year old daughter a gift and birthday card! …to my house!! My work didn’t even do that! They also have been incredibly accommodating to my demanding work schedule, helping me find a room when I need it all times of the day– and even storing my golf clubs and clothes for weeks at a time! I could list a thousand examples of the staff being exceptional at their craft, but the best part is that week after week, I am always greeted with a «welcome back» and a huge smile.
If your ever in the area and need a place to stay, I very much recommend visiting the staff at the Marriot. Becca, Christy, Anthony, Erica, Matt, Craig, Leah, frantz, Catherine, Christine (both of them!), Larry, Alexis, Jameson, Jennifer, herbie, Dave, Clint, Anthony, pravena, the bar staff, everyone that works the front desk, the housekeepers (who totally rock) and anyone else that I may have forgotten to write here, are all very skilled at what they do and you shouldn’t be disappointed with the service this hotel has to offer. They really go the extra mile and make traveling a pleasurable experience.
I’m looking forward to staying at this hotel again.

Great spa at this location. Definitely the best of any of the local hotels.
The bar serve cold beer great burgers and seasoned fries. The rooms are very nice if you get a refurbished one. Otherwise they are so-​so.

Came here to a 50^th birthday party event. The staff is on point from the valet to the people removing plates off the table. Everyone knew his/​her job and it was done quickly, quietly and professionally.
The rooms are very nice. I am not a fan of such soft beds. I prefer firm myself. But the room was really nice.
The food was very tasty. Everything was favorable and great. First time can say that every thing served was awesome.
I can see myself having an event here. GREAT JOB Mariott.

This Marriott is just fantastic. This is the second week long stint I have spent here. The hotel staff are all top notch. Customer service is a real priority. The manager is often around lending a hand and seems to not mind helping guests or his staff as needed. It seems to create a real team environment among the staff here. Out of all the Marriotts I’ve stayed over the years for work, customer service here beats them all. The front desk staff is amazingly helpful and room service is prompt. The Shuttle driver Larry is a gem. His personality and charm are infectious. If you have business in Princeton or are here to visit the university this is a great place to stay. Also, the rooms are updated and spotless. The gym and pool are nice as well.

The service at the hotel is superb, both at the lobby and in the morning for breakfast. Well, particularly the waiters, they build rapport quickly and it was a pleasure to dine in their presence.
The location is aesthetically appealing and relatively comfortable with an up to date gym and lots of open space.
You’re now likely styled chewing on your cupcake, befuddled by the three star rating. Let me give you the opportunity to digest your carbs. They didn’t have WiFi. What, are we in the 90s, you ask yourself. Yes, apparently we are. Unless you want to pay for access or your some Marriott elite. I think of WiFi as a rudimentary service nowadays, like bathrooms and beds
Another somewhat unpleasant oddity of this hotel is the layout of the rooms. It is no litotes when I claim that I was walking a good 5 – 6 minutes at a quick pace from the lobby elevator on the floor of my room. That was a bit irksome and it isn’t exclusive to the rooms. In general, the sprawl of this hotel is immense and not particularly comfortable.

We used this hotel to house some of our guests for a conference that we held. They were very courteous; when I was here at around 6:30am to watch people get on shuttle buses, I stole many complimentary cookies and cups of apple cider and they graciously provided them.
The guests were also pretty happy. The outside is pretty ugly, but it has a very relaxed feel to the hotel

This is a nice hotel in the middle of the woods, nice pool with jacuzzi with a view of the woods. The rooms are nice and with a bit of a modern flair, they have a little bar area and a fridge with most don’t have anymore.
Well I guess there is no separate page for the SPA. I got a massage that was great and relaxing here, perfect pressure, we got here early to use the sauna and the steam room.

Really one if the prettier moderate priced locations I have stayed at. Built literary in the forest.
Bar was well stocked and had outdoor seating to enjoy the great weather we are having.
Only draw backs are that the rooms can be quite far from the main activity area and the walls are a bit thin so you can hear some noise.

The company I was interviewing with booked a room here for me. The hotel lobby reminds me of a very nice dorm. The rooms were nicely decorated, and the sheets and bathroom were very clean. There is a pub downstairs for food and there weren’t any other options nearby. I had the salmon at the pub and it was cooked well with good use of spices. It was kinda expensive for a pub that is located in a hotel but I was on per diem so I didn’t really care.

I arrived at the Marriott on a Sunday to begin my 2 week stay for work training. I must say the grounds are really pretty and the hotel doesn’t look like a typical high rise Marriott. It is only 3 stories tall.
Upon check in, Becca, couldn’t have been nicer. She knew I was going to be here for quite some time and gave me a few menus of places that deliver to the hotel-​nice. She put me in a room away from the ice machine and elevators, which I appreciated.
After settling in, I noticed there was a mini fridge but no microwave. Interesting. Since I was going to be here for quite some time I called down to the hotel hoping they had one for me to use in the future (in case I had left overs one night) but to my pleasant surprise, becca said she would have one brought up to my room for my entire stay.
10 minutes later I called requesting foam pillows and 5 minutes later, my wish was granted. Now to top all this off, Becca called me to make sure I had everything I needed.
The customer service here is something if expect from a high end hotel, not the Marriott.
