History
Established in 1920.
Since 1920, our family’s greatest concern has been for the comfort and care of our community. When Joseph B. Redding founded J.B. Redding & Son and devoted himself to serving Princeton University’s plumbing and heating needs, he knew he wanted to build a legacy-a lasting tradition of quality and service upheld by his family for many generations.
Today, 4th and 5th generations of the Redding family do that. We’ve changed a bit. Our customers call us Redding’s Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning now-and while we got our start in a barn on Linden Lane, in 1945 we moved to 234 Nassau Street in Princeton. Since then, we’ve expanded our services and remain at the leading edge of the plumbing and HVAC industries.
David J. Redding, his wife, Judy, and daughter, Laura, assure the comfort of students, faculty and employees of area institutions and businesses through Redding’s Mechanical. David’s son, Michael, runs Redding’s Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, our residential division.
