My daughter and I came here for breakfast. Thank you Darcy for your excellent service and for tips on things to do on the island.

We fell in love w Nanae when we went for Thanksgiving 2011 and have been back probably 3 – 4 times since! The atmosphere is awesome! We love the lanai! The food quality is excellent! We had a gift certificate as it is pricey but that’s Princeville. We’ll be back!

Good service and atmosphere. Crab cake and scallop appetizer was delicious. Rest of food average.

We ate here 2 years ago and loved it, so when we made it the last dinner on our return trip to princeville we were disappointed with how much the quality of the food and service have declined. If you are interested in fine dining spend the extra 30% and go to Kauai grill, or you could have a better meal for the same price at the terrace area at the st Regis. If you’re staying at the Westin and don’t feel like leaving for dinner, you’re better off using one of he grills if you can get it to light.

For being so highly rated on OpenTable, I expected much more. The place was busy due to rainy weather and everyone staying close to home for dinner so I expected some delay but 55 mins to get our first course is ridiculous. The minestrone had very little vegetables in it, the risotto was sent back because it was only rice with a bit of truffle and lots of arugula on top — completely missing mushrooms. The efforts to fix a vegetarian dish was pathetic. Being vegetarian is nothing new, get it together. The worst was the tuna carpaccio– it had gelatin in it! When I asked about it, they asked if I had ever had carpaccio. Insulting. Yes, I have and I know the texture of tuna and the texture of gelatin. I felt bad for our nice waiter but there’s no way those dishes should have been served.

Excellent filet, probably the best I’ve had, yes comparable to maestros. Very accommodating staff as my wife has a nut allergy and changed her dish preparation. Excellent service, Give it a try!

OK … 4.5 years later and worth the wait. Better service and more inventive menu. Tip order a «side» of protein(short ribs were excellent) and pair with risotto.

We made the mistake of going here for Valentine’s dinner. They only had a «special menu» which was over $ 70 per person. The grilled shrimp appetizer tasted old. The salad was delicious but stingy on the greens. They did not serve bread with dinner. The beef shank entrée was delicious but a bit fatty and way too small of a serving. The dessert was fine and helped to fill me up. We were too tired to drive farther. We paid too much for that convenience. btw: No rose or champagne either. Just an intermezzo with sherbet dipped in champagne.

Beautiful restaurant with a nice view. The food was terrible. We were there on Valentine’s evening and the menu was weak. The tofu main course looked like cornbread and tasted only half as good. Our waiter almost spilled his tray on us and looked like he was n something. The red velvet cake was dry, the vegetables were drenched in honey sauce to hide their sogginess. Everything was way overpriced. Not a great experience at all.

Love this place, but then again how can you not love this place when you are on a beautiful island with perfect weather and the sound of the ocean in the background. The food is a bit pricy but that’s expected when you’re at a resort. As for the service it was friendly and prompt. I ate here for breakfast and had the Kalua Pig eggs Benedict and it was amazing. On Sunday I had the brunch and holy hell was that spectacular! It had so many options that I was nearly overwhelmed. From crab legs and prime rib to an omelette bar and waffle station! It was wonderful! For dinner I had the Chiefs special which allows u to try two differ entrees. I chose the filet and the braised ribs, both were to die for! Over all this restaurant is amazing! A bit pricey but worth every penny. So if ur in the mood to treat yourself make sure you put this on your list.

We ate here 3 times on our trip and it was pretty good. We loved the tuna carpaccio. The fresh fish was good as was the shrimp. My husband loved the short rib. We had 1 waitress on 2 of the nights and another one(a blonde lady with a long braid). Both did a nice job but the blonde waitress was excellent. The brunette waitress was a little distracted and we waited quite a while for our food on the last night. I would not ordinarily give this restaurant 4 stars(maybe 3.5) but since it was the best place we ate in Kauai I would recommend giving it a try. Of course the prices are jacked up because it’s at a resort, but still better than other restaurants nearby.

5 stars for the scallops and crab cakes appetizer for sure! Overall this place is really nice. Our server wasn’t too happy with us, but I know how party’s of nine can be annoying, but everyone else gave great costumer service. It is on the pricy side but if you can just prepare yourself for paying close to $ 80 a person, then you can sit back and enjoy a nice dinner. Lets get to the food! I had the 5-course sampling. The portions were great and I was stuffed at the end. The scallops and crab cakes blew my mind they were so delicious! Salad was extremely boring after the amazing scallops. The Mahi Mahi was good but kind of bland. The short ribs were amazing and the pineapple cake was a perfect desert to finish such a heavy dinner. Drinks! After how much they charge for food their drinks are on the affordable side Pineapple princess was delish, but I’m not sure if you get much alcohol. The petit Chablis, by the glass, was nice but the sav blanc was better.

Delicious! We sat outside right near the pool, but being a chilly night, it wasn’t too noisy. The food was all very tasty, but what really stood out was the short rib. Wow. Probably my favorite meal on the whole island.

Delicious place for lunch. Fresh local salad greens, build your own. Amazing fresh ingredients. Additional toppings of fresh grilled fish, chicken, crab cakes or prawns! We get our prawns grilled! Miso ginger dressing. Crab cakes with chipolte sauce are amazing. Burgers are huge and made with fresh kauai beef. Sit by the waterfall and watch the koi fish swim, lots of birds singing. Very tropical environment. Lovely place to lounge and eat

My wife and I came here for dinner tonight and I was compelled to write about the 5 star quality food we ate & excellent service we received. I ordered an Ahi Tuna bowl which was unexpectedly epic. I also ordered a Red Sangria with strawberries and pomegranate juice… it was so tasty, sweet and surprising and so good I ordered another one. We followed up dinner with a stunning desert consisting of a super decadent chocolate brownie with macadamia nuts, a chocolate fried roll(like a fried egg roll but with chocolate, Nutella-like sauce), a vanilla ice cream with strawberry glaze, & whipped cream with a thinly sliced strawberry in the middle of the desert. We were floored and to top it off our waitress Kate was the nicest person and not only was very attentive and professional but she was very nice and personable which made dinner much more meaningful as she gave us tips on what to do on the island.

Wow, what a surprise this was. We were to tired and tipsy to venture off property so we took a chance on this restaurant. This is the BEST restaurant we have eaten at a Westin property to date and we have been to almost all. We started with the caprese salad which was deconstructed with cherry tomatoes and small balls of mozzarella. It was tossed with arugula and dressed with a light dressing. It was super yummy. I had the fish which was ling mung over white beans. It was a very nice dish and fish cooked right. My husband had the beat salad which was good too. The only disappointment to the meal was the pineapple upside down cake. I make better in my cast iron skillet at home. The ice cream was good. They have a decent wine and beer menu and pricing was on par. The restaurant was crowded last night. Now I know why.

Our best meal on the north shore for sure. Thank you, Unilocalers, for leading me to this place. Husband had the prime rib special, and it was huge, and tasty, and cooked perfectly. I had the«Seafood Fettuccine Shrimp. Scallops. Fresh fish. Hamakua funghi. Tomatoes. Sherry cream sauce. Macadamia nut pesto. Grilled vegetable relish. $ 30» Yes, yes, and yes. Very generous with the seafood and the mushrooms. More food than one person can or should eat at once. ;) Also had fresh warm delicious bread with our meal. Dessert was a great pineapple upside down cake. Service was attentive and friendly. We would absolutely return here again.

The food is great! Try the braised short ribs, their fabulous. Chef Melanie is great at preparing food for those with special issues or allergies. Make sure to talk to her if you have any special requirements. They introduced a new apple banana bread pudding dessert today that is phenomenal! I will fly to Kauai just for that bread pudding!

This restaurant is located in the Westin. Once you enter, walk down the hallway and down the stairs. Located on the left side. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. The food is asian fusion and does offer vegetarian options and gluten-free options. Vegetable tower-very healthy, lacked taste, needs hot sauce Vegetable fertuccine-oily(good thing there was bread. Mixed the noodles with the quinoa from the veggie tower. After mixing both, both tasted better. Butternut squash soup-sweet, but good Beet salad-good taste Overall, the service was ok. The veggie dishes that we tried lacked taste. Everything seemed one note. It was just ok.
