Sunshine’s Doggy Daycare and Resort

You know how it is. You have somewhere you need to be. It probably involves traveling, possibly with small children, over many miles. The idea of getting away appeals to you, after all, you’ve been ‘here’ for a while. What doesn’t appeal to you however, is the idea of hauling your four-​legged friend with you hither and yon. Sure, they’ll get to smell new things and defecate in all kinds of strange places. But alas, you’d be out there. Doggy bagging it up while trying to keep Fido from running off to explore the great beyond — and making sure that wherever you end up is ‘dog friendly’ to boot.
There are a few options to avoid this scenario. You might tie him up to a tree in the back yard and let him face the elements like a real dog until your jubilant return to rescue him. Maybe your neighbor Fred (or is it Frank? or Francis?) will kindly look upon him while you’re away. Perhaps you have a brave, selfless friend who is willing to shack up your animal at their place. Or maybe, just maybe, you find a qualified dog person who runs a kind of boarding resort for dogs. Someplace they can run and play and be with other dogs. Not left behind (never that), but left in the care of folks who will feed and water your beloved pet, without tying them to a tree. That’s where Sunshine’s Doggy Daycare really comes in handy.
We’ve been taking our dog Luna to Sunshine’s for several months now, and she invariably comes back happier. Always a fount of positive energy, she seems genuinely excited to be left with Sunshine and her staff. We’ve found them to be very flexible when it comes to schedule issues (sometimes, trips run long), and we haven’t had a single problem with keeping our arguably rambunctious canine in their care.
Bottom line: It’s a bit of a drive to get the pooch out to this place, but it’s well worth the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your doggle is in very good hands. Drop them off with a blanket and a supply of food, and collect them with what looks to be a smile on their faces when you return from the hither and yon.
