Blue Waters Resort

Great view of the lake, nice staff, and relatively well appointed rooms. Have stayed in two different rooms and both have gas stoves, full refrigerators and plenty of space. The only real downside is the beds are on the weak and rickety side. If you can deal with that you shouldn’t have any real issues with the place. Again the view of the lake is great!

Nothing can beat the stars over the lake. It really swept me away from my city life and let me enjoy a bit of nature for the weekend.
I spent a weekend enjoying the best of it: lounging by the pool, swimming in the lake and renting a boat for a little fishing with my family. (Getting a license was an easy phone call for someone who hasn’t been fishing in years). The cabin was nicely outfitted and very well maintained so I got to enjoy all of my creature comforts without taking away from the experience of the great outdoors.
The nearest town is a little bit of a drive but essentially there is everything you need right on the grounds. The nights were great for outdoor BBQs.
My favorite part of course was the lake. I am used to vacationing in the Ozarks or similar areas but here you can enjoy the water without the fear of being mowed over or anything.
It was really beautiful property. The owners are so friendly! I can’t wait for another chance to go back!

Had family business to attend to in this area and needed a clean, comfortable place to stay nearby. Trying to book a cabin was made so much easier by the very accomodating owner. She returned my emails and phone calls promptly and had our cabin waiting for us upon arrival. She assisted w/​a UPS delivery while we were out during the day and even mailed us our pillowcases that we had inadvertently left behind. Beautiful area, great location, and prices. Super friendly and helpful owners.

We stayed here on our vacation this past week. Driving out there you will soon realize that you are in the middle of nowhere, but it is a BEAUTIFUL nowhere. Pass a few pitted stones in an old cemetery, a tiny general store, a boat motor mailbox and you’re almost there. Keep going until you see the lake. Blue Waters is on the state lines of Arkansas and Missouri.
If you plan on fishing, you will need to purchase the ‘borders license’ (in addition to your fishing license, Missouri or Arkansas depending on where you live). This is $ 10 and covers you should you go fishing into the state you don’t have a license for. Hint: Leave children under the age of 3 at home…
The owners are very hospitable, friendly and hard-​working. They work from sun up to sundown… emptying trash, weed-​eating, cleaning the pool. They really take pride in their property and it shows.
The cabins are small and cozy and have everything you need to grill outside and cook in your own cabin. They even left a new grill right outside for us to use. We stayed in Cabin #2, also nicknamed Lost in the Fifties and filled with Elvis and old car pictures, curtains, blankets, and 45 records. We found this coincidence amusing as my husband was a sax player in the Lost in the Fifties show in Branson. Our cabin was comfy with a window airconditioner, our own full kitchen, complete with handtowels and washcloths, as well as a bathroom with shower. There were 2 ample sized bedrooms. The beds were comfy and the linens smelled wonderful. We were a skip from the pool and a few steps to the lake.
We rented a 20′ pontoon boat which we loved (with the exception of the spiders… bring some RAID). Was perfect for our family of 4 for tubing and fishing.
I could go on and on, I loved this place so much.
If you are looking to get away from life, this is the perfect place. You can find everything you really need. And if you really just can’t disconnect, they even have Wi-​fi on the porch of the resort.
