It’s a gas station/convenience store combo. It loses a bunch of points for outdated pumps. You can’t pay at the pump so you always need to go in and pre-charge your pump. Have fun guessing how much gas you need. It’s also just an old store in general. They have a lot of candy and San Pellegrino though so it gets some back. There’s an air pump around the side too, but the staff is kind of reluctant to make change for it. I wouldn’t go here unless I absolutely needed to. If I do, it’s pretty convenient for the neighborhood.

The guys who work here are friendly, warm jokers. I LOVE that you have to go inside to get your gas: it reminds me of home.(Boondocks, PA) Cheap drinks and food, too. 2 for $ 4 Monster Energy Drinks. That’s what’s up.

I may be partial because I live nearby, but I feel bad that this place is getting hated on just because of the slight inconvenience of having to prepay for gas inside the store. I’ve never found it to be that trying unless I’ve needed gas in a hurry, and I tend not to let myself get into that situation. Broadway Express is quite a bit bigger than the other convenience stores in the immediate vicinity, so there’s that. Gas, air pump, ATM, lotto machines(if you care), small seating area, a few off-street parking spaces. Its hours are super-convenient… I don’t want to misinform but I think it’s 2 in the morning. You have your standard in-city convenience store prices, but the people behind the counter are quite nice, so it’s not a total drag to interact with them. The gas prices are pretty much in keeping with the neighborhood. For said neighborhood? Definitely four stars.

Definitely skip. Can’t pay with a card at the pump. Dirty and old. Just felt kinda creeped out here last night but I really needed gas and it was right there. Go to a real gas station elsewhere

Update: In addition to the below, gas is consistently a little more expensive than some other options within a 10 minute radius, they charge 10 cents more per gallon by paying with credit(not uncommon in the vicinity), and you still have to guesstimate how much gas you need and prepay to pump. The convenience store pricing is average/slightly above average for the area compared to the other options on this block. The people are friendly enough though slow on occasion. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — This place is a gas station that has a convenience store inside. You can’t pay for gas at the pump(it’s all pre-pay inside the shop). I only come here if I’m driving on fumes, this place needs to be updated.
