This place is absolutely HORRIBLE. Just like other reviewers have said, no one ever calls you back, the women at the front desk and in the lab HATE their jobs and make it obvious to every patient there. Not to mention that the doctor I went to here, is just about unreachable. Every time I’ve tried to call she is either at a conference, on vacation, or with a patient. What’s the point of having a doctor if you can never reach them? The only thing she did was convince me to have genetic testing done — assuring me that it’s always covered by insurance. Well guess what? It’s covered alright, but it costs $ 5,000 — meaning I owed $ 425! And that’s just for my testing, not my husband’s. Bet our doctor made a nice chunk of change from the testing lab though. Thanks for nothing. Now I have to start the process of finding another doctor who actually CARES about her patients.

Drawing near the end of my pregnancy, I can say that overall I have had a good experience coming here. Dr. Burchard is awesome! I have always
felt like she was genuinely interested in my well being and making sure that I am aware of my resources. With that said I have to mention how great her assistant nurse, Christy, has been. I have called the office a number of times with questions/​concerns and Christy has always called back to thoroughly reassure and inform me with the worries I have had.
I have however had run-​ins with receptionists over the phone who have been a bit snide with me but I have come to realize that these people are everywhere in businesses.
The facility overall is very easy to get to, super convenient and close parking, and clean! The waiting room is relaxing with a small area off to the side for children with their own tv with cartoons.
I have never waited more than 15 minutes after arriving for my appointment and they will most likely take you early if you come early.
I wouldn’t mind recommending or continuing to attend here.

What’s more intimate than going to the OBGYN? Choosing the right one is not a decision to be taken lightly. We moved from Boston to Barrington, RI late in my pregnancy and I transferred to Dr. Jane Sharp at the Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology with just a few months to go before baby #2 was due to arrive. I am so tremendously glad that I did. Dr. Sharp is friendly, confident and happy to listen and thoroughly discuss my questions and concerns. I had a C-​Section with my first child and I was very hopeful for a successful VBAC for the second. Dr. Sharp thoroughly examined my records from my previous pregnancy and gave excellent, but realistic advice on what to expect with the second delivery. Ultimately, Dr. Caitlin Saint-​Aubin, delivered our son and his birth was everything I could have hoped for. The VBAC was a success, making the whole experience and my recovery a million times better than my last delivery.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how much I like the values of the practice. Center is an all-​women practice, made up of women physicians, midwives and a nurse practitioner. There is a nice holistic health vibe, which is not always the case. Office staff are kind and professional, and appointments generally run on time. It’s very convenient that they have a lab onsite. The waiting room is also nice and big with a small play area for small kids, which we used on one occasion. I would highly recommend this practice and especially Dr. Sharp.

The doctors here are like robots they really don’t care about you it’s more so about their paycheck. The first dr I visited here called me a liar at 7 months pregnant and in alot of pain. Next dr was not as terrible but I still delivered almost 3 weeks early and was not heard at all… I am transferring to bayside.

I love my doctor there, I have been seeing her for about 14 years. And I did notice a big change at the office myself as far as making appointments and then waiting for someone to return my calls. It’s almost impossible. I needed birth control pills and had left several messages for them to call in the prescription and I kept getting no calls back and when I did I was at work and all in the end needless to say they were never called in. I needed them for Sunday and a girl called me on Friday and said she would run the message over with the doctor and I’m taking it that never happened or the doctor assumed I could wait not looking at the fact that I just had a baby 8 months before. I feel like my doctor is never there.

I want to give this practice the benefit of the doubt. Turns out there were circumstances surrounding why they did not get back to me in a timely manner.

Queen Mayhall is seeing patients now… NOT!!! If you would like to be neglected, ignored, and basically treated like you don’t matter then go here. Trying to get her on the phone or to call you back is impossible. If you would like to talk to nurses and not doctors then this is the place for you!

Do not go here! I had a miscarriage. They handled it horribly! Horrible bedside manner by practice owner who insulted us by telling us that we fell between the cracks because we did not plan our pregnancy months in advance. Finger pointing, no accountability, computers always down, lack of empathy for patients, constant scheduling mishaps. Please go elsewhere!!! I could not be seen by a doctor after multiple requests until I miscarried! They are more concerned with ultrasounds than patient care! I was treated as a problem for calling and asking questions.

I’m personally shocked to see so many positive reviews about The Center for OBGYN.
It’s the absolute worst. I have never received such poor communication in a place of medicine. I’m transferring out of this practice after 4 years and due to a completely incompetent staff who has a habit of loosing appts, miscommunications of information and general disinterest in their jobs.
Over the last 6 months I’ve been consistently disappointed by the dr’s, nurses and staff who have a finger pointing attitude and not one of them is a problem solver. Nurses who can’t read charts, staff who is to busy to relay correct information and Dr’s who have no time or bedside manner. Zero of them are concerned with your health concerns or healthy delivery.
So happy to be transferring to a professional practice.

Initially I was impressed with the clean facility and all-​female staff, but after several visits I decided to switch providers. The primary reason for this was the way I was treated by several staff members (receptionist, doctor, nurse) during somewhat of an emergency visit. I was in significant pain, and though I had made an appointment, I had to wait over an hour actually to be seen. Once I was seen, I could hear my doctor discussing my case with the nurse from the waiting area. As a healthcare practitioner myself, I felt my rights to privacy had been violated. I had to undergo an ultrasound during my visit and it appeared that the technician had not even spoken to the doctor as to the reason why I needed one done. Overall, I did not feel as though they really cared about my wellness. I got the impression that they just try to see as many patients as they can. I do not recommend this practice.

I had a good experience overall: the girls at the desk were great and it was very clean. This was my first visit– I just wasn’t a huge fan of the Dr’s personality. You could tell she didn’t want to chat. I will go back again for sure but I’d like to try a different doctor. I also noticed the nurse who took my blood pressure spelled whole, «hole» on the computer. That just annoyed me.

I had a horrible experience with this practice. I suffered a miscarriage in the 11^th week of my pregnancy, and I never once heard from my doctor during the 3 weeks that I reported having spotting and bleeding. Every time you call you speak to a different nurse and I have my doubts about whether they communicated my symptoms to the doctor.

Unfortunately almost every time I’ve called I’ve spoken to «Laurie» and she sounds like she hates her job. I comprehend we all have bad days but she is always rude and has made disrespectful comments. One of which brought me to write this review. The staff in the back are awesome and so are the doctors I’ve dealt with but the receptionist are the first people we as patients get to speak to and if they aren’t professional it shadows the clinic in a negative way.

I have been a patient at this practice for a little over 3 years and until recently I was always impressed with the care I received. My doctor remains fantastic but unfortunately it seems that over time, as the practice has grown, it is now almost impossible to get an appointment with her unless it is for the standard annual check-​up (that is booked one year in advance).
Until recently I was fine with seeing any other doctor in the practice if needed and was under the false impression that all of the physicians would uphold the same standard of care. I work banker’s hours, which are very similar to the office’s hours and have tried again and again to secure appointments at a time convenient with my work schedule but with little success.
Eventually, I was lucky to be set up with a sweet, quirky doctor at the practice who worked later on certain nights of the week. I really liked her but after two visits learned she left to work at another practice. I was stuck with an appointment with whichever other doctor at the practice was available.
Let’s just say, I can see why this doctor had appointments available. Her bedside manner and know it all attitude left much to be desired and left me in shock. From what I could tell she seems highly respected in the medical/​gynecological community but I thoroughly did not enjoy my visit with her. She treated me like a hypochondriac and I had to break down into tears to get her to take me seriously.
Suffering from a chronic intestinal disease, I have seen my share of doctors and I will certainly not be returning to this one in particular. She eventually did what I asked and referred me to an endocrinologist but not until after making me visibly upset and unnessarily stressed.
On this same visit I was given the first round of a vaccine and then as I scheduled the appointment for the second shot was told they only offer vaccines from 9am to 3pm! This would have been good to know before issued the first shot!
The phone line for the practice is also always very busy and it is common to call and have up to 5 callers ahead of you. My best advice is to call first thing in the morning. They also shut down the phone line for an hour between noon and 1pm when they take their lunch. I find this especially irritating as I have the same exact time for my scheduled lunch break and therefore cannot place a call during my break if needed.
I haven’t given up on this practice just yet, but I have been researching other practices in the area that are better able to work with my schedule.

Very professional medical office focusing on women’s health. The facilities are well maintained, the support staff is diligent and friendly, and I have never had any billing issues. They have a culture that supports medical research, which I appreciate since it points to a will to keep current with the latest and greatest in medicine. First class, I wouldn’t hesitate to book an appointment here, my experiences here have been good.

I am absolutely thrilled to have switched to Center for OB/​Gyn. The staff is always super courteous and willing to make changes to appointments. I have nothing but positive things to say about Center, their doctors, their nurses, and their staff. They offer many services including 3d/​4d ultrasound, cosmetic procedures, skin care, and counseling.
The nurses are always more than willing to answer questions and do whatever they can to make you the patient more at ease.

This is the first OB/​GYN that actually stood out for me. It’s am all female practice, that offers a wide range of services and accepts most all insurances (as far as I know). And they seem to also offer help for those in need of financial assistance.
The facility is clean and adequately staffed. My wait is usually less than 5 minutes upon arrival to my appointment. The staff answer all my questions and make me feel very comfortable!

My appointment there was flawless. The staff was warm and welcoming, the center was updated and beautiful, and the doctor was kind and professional.
This is a group of all female OB/​GYN with midwives. However they seem to be focused on women’s overall health, instead of just focusing on reproductive health, which is refreshing.
