I am not qualified to give a 5 star rating because I have only used them once and am not a contract customer, but I can say that the JKL folks really helped me out in a pinch. I have a breathing issue which requires that I have a working A/​C at night. On Thursday morning it stopped working. I called every name in the directory. Made an appointment for Thursday afternoon with another company who never showed up and never called back. I got another appointment with another company for Friday morning, best they could do. Thursday night was a very difficult one.
Friday was deja vu. The second company never called, never showed. Approaching the weekend I got a little panicky. I left messages for numerous companies. Mostly answering services or machines. JKL was the only company out of six I tried who had an actual employee of the company answering the phone. Cheryl, who took the call late on Friday afternoon, was able to give me a Saturday repair call. I was bracing myself to be stood up again. Friday night was another tough night. Had to use my asthma inhaler. No fun.
Saturday came and so did JKL. The tech, Rick, was a very nice guy who knew his business and had my A/​C up and running in fifteen minutes. He had to climb up in my attic where we have that awful blown insulation but managed to get up and down several times without tracking that mess all over my house.
I very much appreciate JKL Engineering for picking up the slack of several of their competitors who either did not call back or stood me up. And I get to sleep without having a death grip on my inhaler tonight. Thanks JKL!
