Junk Car Rhode Island

This is my first time calling a company up to get cash for my car. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to fix it well enough so that all the computer chips could pass the inspection test and the company that makes these cars has gone out of business. The car wasn’t in awful shape, it’s engine was fine but it didn’t look fantastic either. It had been sitting in the back yard for more than 6 months with the key in the ignition so that the battery was dead but revivable.
I was suspicious about picking from one of the online companies but honestly didn’t feel confident enough to call the local junk yard to ask what they’d give for the car. I picked this company’s website mainly because I could 1. email them to get a quote, 2. read about how I was going to be treated by them and 3. Not have to deal with anybody by phone as much as possible.
There were some glitches with the transaction. They forgot to contact me on the Friday that they said that a dispatcher would call me back. That was a bit annoying since I waited at home all day thinking that the car would be taken out pronto. They apologized when I contacted them via email the following Monday. Things went smoothly if not as fast as I expected from thereon-​in.
A check was written out to me in the agreed upon amount. It freaked me out and I thought that it would bounce. I was nervous for nothing, it was good.
The driver was very helpful and really good considering that there was a wasp nest in the outside mirror. I’d tried to bag it and spray poison in the night before but somehow the wasps evaded the trap. Because I wasn’t sure if the tires were flat or down the driver brought a flat back to tow the car. I would have hated for them to have come all the way down south to have to return for an appropriate vehicle.
I have to say all in all I was really happy with the people who I talked to who needed to get information from me about the vehicle and Tim Hahn who fielded my emails and apologized for the delay. I’ve been agonizing about this car for more than a half a year and within about a week it was gone and I had money in the bank.
If you have anxiety talking to people over the phone definitely use this company and get that car out of your yard. It was such a relief!
