This was my first visit to the salon and I found it to be a friendly, welcoming business. Great atmosphere and clean environment. Special attention is paid to each client. I feel this is a wonderful spa that catered to my needs. The nail technician was one of the best and I plan on going back. Parking was very convenient and complementary in the adjoining indoor lot.

For the cost and the service provided, I must say it was not value. Massage was adequate, facial — rushed and no consultation about what was being performed. Would probably not be back or recommend. Staff needs to speak to their clients. Tell them what they are doing, applying and why. Felt rushed and unsatisfied.

Update from last review: Unfortunately, Kris has left Moderne salon. Without her, I probably will not be returning. It was Kris that made me want to come back and actually pay the overpriced services… not the salon itself.

This is by far the worst salon I have ever visited. My appointment started late and the receptionist was rude to me. The same receptionist also shampoos hair apparently, and he was really rough with me. Not exactly a relaxing experience. My stylist was quite nice, but it seemed like she didn’t really know what she was doing. My haircut was amateur (not so bad that I need a wig, but certainly not good), and I am planning on getting it fixed somewhere else once it grows out a bit.

Both times I’ve been here, my appointments started late. On most recent visit, the owner insisted my gift certificates were expired. Although correct based on her internal system, there was no indication on the gift cards of an expiration date. In addition, she thought it would be appropriate to charge full price after not honoring the gift cards. Paying full price twice is fun, especially when your appointment starts late. I haven’t been back since and never intend on returning.
