Pro: this company only does inspections, so you know they aren’t going to try to sell you expensive remediation you don’t need.
Con: I wasn’t very impressed. They charged over $ 400 and all the inspector did was look around and run an air sample. I could have bought a home testing kit and saved over $ 300. Mold test came back positive for black mold and aspergillis and cladosporium. But where’s it? I don’t know really because the inspector didn’t use infrared testing for moisture. We removed water damaged carpets, but I have no idea if my bathroom is the problem (the wall is rotting). I also noticed my attic roof is covered in black mold. Is this a problem? I don’t know because the inspector never even looked up there or sampled. Now I have to pay another $ 400 – 500 $ to have ANOTHER inspector come in and do the job right and find out where this mold is coming from.
I can’t recommend this company unless they train their inspectors to be more professional and thorough.
