The Cheeky Hound

This place is fantastic! They always have such an awesome selection of toys, accessories and treats (homemade too). The staff here is so warm and friendly, my pup loves coming in here to see everyone.
The self-​service dog wash stations is really handy, especially on the way home from a dirty dog park mud wrestling match. Saves my bathroom big time! They now have a groomer on staff in case self-​service is not your thing. He was super friendly and hooked my dog up with a new bandana since the store was sold out.
The owner here is also very active and extremely generous. They hold a lot of fundraisers and participate in a ton of community events. In the better weather they organize group outings at local parks which is really cool too.
highly recommend coming here, whether it is for grooming or for spoiling your pet!

Awful– awful costumer service. I heard such great things I rushed from Boston to give them my business for TWO dogs! I chose to come here and tried calling when on the way to make sure they would be open and they have a disconnected phone number that is listed on the website. I then looked and saw that the hours on the website are listed till 5pm today but when I walked in was told they stop at 4pm for dog bathing. This was nowhere listed on the website. So when I arrived with dogs in tow– I was told that I was out of luck. I asked to speak to the manager and was told to call her– she told me that «she has been open for 4 years and if I don’t like it then don’t come to her store.» I asked why the website is incorrect and without any explanation literally said to me: «I think you are just a bitch and…» I wanted to cry. She doesn’t know me. This was awful. I will spread this al over at every dog park in the state. No one deserves to be talked to like that. Don’t go there.

My dog and I love the Cheeky Hound. Everyone is always so helpful and friendly, and make Roux and I feel right at home. We utilize the self serve bath stations regularly. It’s so easy and convenient, and they provide you with everything you need — shampoo, conditioner, grooming tools, dryers — you name it. Or course my dog loves the treats I buy for him post bath as well! Love this place.

Absolutely fabulous!!! Lindsey (owner) and Liz her assistant could not have been more amazing! Great self bathing area. The cheeky has all the tools, supplies one could ever need. With the nail trim and wash is was a bargain at $ 16 …we will be regulars at this awesome boutique local business!

I don’t want to give this place 5 stars because I don’t want it to be so busy all the time that I can’t take my dog! I absolutely LOVE Cheeky Hound! Love. You can make an appointment or just stop on by. This DIY dog wash is excellent for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages. The stalls are ground level so your dog will not need to jump on a table or into a tub. If you have a little fella or gal, they have a smaller table for you! The area is wide open and there is a big space for you to get hands on with your dog. Think big locker room shower stall.**You should be prepared to get wet. Especially if your dog is a shaker** They do provide water proof aprons and Galoshes. They have ample doggie shampoo, a variety to choose from. Including face wash! Don’t forget to pick out a nice bandanna for the road. The Cheeky Hound also has a bunch of toys and treats for purchase. It’s a boutique and a salon just for pups. The pricing is perfect. I can afford to give my dog a bath now! I highly recommend stopping by for a bath or buying a treat for your pooch. Thanks for coming to the east side Cheeky Hound!

It just appears to be kismet that a cute boutique pet shop opened up on Hope St. shortly before I adopted my puppy. I’ve loaded up on everything from antlers for chewing, to balls for throwing and a rubber chew stick for both.
The staff have all been friendly and gave me some tips on being a new puppy mom. They also have a do-​it-​yourself dog bath area. I have since brought in my doggie and the staff doted on her and gave her cookies. They have everything that a dog mom needs including beds, bowls, toys, treats and leads. I am very happy they are in the neighborhood and will continue to shop here for my fur babies needs.

We have made it a tradition once a year to visit with Santa at The Cheeky Hound. Beautiful store and lots of great unique gifts for pups. Perfect for holiday and year around shopping. Since we live 3 hours away I’m excited for the «Cheeky Hound» website

Finally a self wash place for the dogs. This place is great, really friendly, the baths are big and who would have thought my dog got shampoo, conditioner and a facial scrub. Lots of great toys, collars and food make sure to check them out!

Big Thank You going out to The Cheeky Hound — the self serve baths here are perfect for us and our dog. Dropping our dog off at a groomer for a bath is not an option because she is difficult. We made an appointment to hold a spot but there are 3 bath stalls and they can take walk-​ins.
In the stalls there are 2 water sprayers complete with temperature control and a spot to hook your dogs collar to so they stay put. You are provided with towels, shampoo, and even rain boots! The best part is there is a dryer with a hose attachment for all the hard to reach areas. Very spacious area — there were 2 of us and 50 lb. dog and we had plenty of room.
The owner was super nice, asked if we needed help during our wash and she brought over treeeeats, so helpful!!!
Also the store’s retail prices are affordable especially for the area. Wide selection of products from collars to pet safe ice melt. What a welcome addition to Hope Street. Totally impressed.

I really like this new little boutique. Lots of specialty toys and treats for pups of all sizes. They sell treats by the piece or pound and my dog especially enjoyed the roasted bone marrow bone I picked up on my last visit. They have a self service washing area which is a great idea but my cavalier requires brushing and trimming and detangling so this isn’t the best option for me. Overall, the Cheeky Hound is a fun new addition to the Hope St. area.

Finally! A place on Hope St. for my little dachshund-​chihuahua-​beagle-​pug to grab a bath. Lovely owners, and cute shop. Oh, and a free scarf of your choosing after the bath. Rawr!
