Paul Mitchell the School– Provo, formerly known as Von Curtis Academy, was formed in 2003 when the owner, Winn Claybaugh, teamed up with John Paul Mitchell Systems CEO, John Paul Dejoria, in 2003. There are now over 100 Paul Mitchell Schools nationwide.

Made an appointment for today at 9:30, I was sent a text from their computer that my appointment was at 11:30 instead. When I showed up at 11:30, I was told I had missed my appointment and the next available appointment was the following Tuesday. I was in town for a wedding and only staying until Sunday. Not sure how I don’t get service for their mistake.

I love coming to the Paul Mitchell school. It’s always a great experience all around, and the stylists work hard to make sure you get what you want. I always go to the phase two students, and I always feel good about my cut. Just be sure to give them specifics about what you want and they’ll make sure you get it! And their scalp massages are always a plus.

I went in for a scalp treatment for only $ 7 and it was the most relaxing thing EVER. My stylist was Megan and she was so sweet and friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back for another one and I highly recommend it!

Went to get my hair colored last night and had the worst experience ever. I’m a toe head and just put blonde highlights in my hair to keep it from getting dull… not a complicated task. Went in for just a partial weave and was there for 4 and half hours! Girl clearly had no idea what she was doing, I understand they are students but they shouldn’t be doing hair on people if they have no idea how to do a basic partial weave. She was constantly having to have someone come over and check her work and just took painfully long to do anything such as blow drying. I didn’t even have to finish blow drying my hair afterwards because I had been there for so long.

A friend recommended the scalp treatment to me, and for a measly $ 7, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try it out. The school itself is pretty industrial (making the music a little loud), but it’s very clean. I was paired with Victoria, who unfortunately graduates in December. The scalp treatment itself is awesome, and I highly recommend it! It’s basically a $ 7 scalp massage with the perks of tea tree oil based product. Victoria was very thorough, and I intend on being a repeat customer of hers till she leaves. My only complaint is that you can only leave gratuity if you have cash, and I wasn’t told beforehand when I made the appointment, so I couldn’t leave anything for her. So bring cash!!!

Paul Mitchell is the best! All of the people who work here at this location were so nice and so much fun! Everyone was really helpful in answering any questions I had and helping me through the whole thing! I love how my hair turned out :) The girl who helped me took the time to style it just the way that I wanted it! I will definitely be coming back to paul Mitchell :)

If you want to try an amazing shine and color then try the XG shine. Your hair shines for a good 6 weeks. Plus at the school you get it done for an affordable price. Just remember that it goes a shade or two darker than what the swatch shows. All the stylists are friendly and super talented. They seem to have an awesome education at PMTS.
