Description

Specialties

We specialize in quality food, drinks and entertainment in an island setting.

History

Established in 2014.

A bar and restaurant has been located here since 1906 and has gone through very few owners since that time. The building has been a staple on the island of Put-in-Bay since its doors opened and over the years has evolved into a comfortable place for a drink and a meal.

Meet the Business Owner

Andy Christensen and Ray Fogg.

Business Owner

In 2014, Andy Christensen and Ray Fogg opened Reel Bar at Put-in-Bay, Ohio. The bar, located in the historic building formerly known as Tony’s, was completely remodeled to offer a rustic setting honoring its island roots. As the name suggests, Reel Bar features décor focused on fishing, boating and Lake Erie island life.

When you step into Reel Bar, you notice great care has been taken to keep a comfortable «lived-in» feel, utilizing natural materials such as reclaimed barn wood, real stone, recycled antique lighting and lots of cool old décor.

Andy says, «We have a friendly staff and an exciting food and drink menu featuring great burgers, unique sandwiches, Lake Erie fish, fresh salads, 16 draft beers and fresh squeezed cocktails. And, I’m enthusiastic about the line-up that fills our stage including island favorites like Bob Gatewood and The Ray Fogg Show. The intimacy of our stage will make performers accessible to the audience, creating a great entertainment experience.»
