Description

Specialties

My business specializes in family photography — capturing a memorable individual pose to be shared with friends and family or recording the dynamic of an entire family. Weddings, maternity and newborn sessions, senior high grads, and family reunions are all part of what I love to shoot.

My other speciality is glamour photography. It’s not always about makeup, hair and clothes, although that’s great fun too! My definition of glamour photography is being able to tastefully produce an image showing a woman’s softer, playful, sometimes sensual side. Most importantly, it’s about showing her inner beauty.

History

Established in 2008.

I’ve been a dabbler in the arts most of my life, from drawing lessons at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City to writing for a magazine in Sydney, Australia. Photography came later.

After graduation from Washington State University with a BA in Education and a minor in Language Arts, I became a grade school teacher. I travelled and lived in New York City and Sydney, Australia. Returning to Washington, I worked in both the private and public sector and earned my master’s degree in Whole Systems Design (organizational development) from Antioch University, Seattle.

I was able to pursue my artistic and photography interests thanks to retirement from public service in 2008 and encouragement from my mentor and husband, Scott. I started Bonnie King Photography.

My in-home and traveling studio are well equipped to produce wonderful results. Over 9000 photos now grace my website, each one has captured a moment and created a memory.

Business Owner

After graduation from Washington State University, I became a grade school teacher. Before long, my desire to travel took me to New York City where I worked as a computer programmer. A year later, I found myself working in Sydney, Australia as teacher, writer, banquet sales officer and later as a wedding consultant.

Returning to Washington, I found more open doors as a recreation director, marketing specialist, city, county and state administrator, owner of a dating service, a workshop presenter, public speaker, and found time to earn my master’s degree from Antioch University, Seattle.

My proudest accomplishments are my daughters, Courtney and Kendall. Courtney is a registered nurse working at Children’s Hospital in Seattle and Kendall teaches science at Kallas Junior High in Puyallup. Both are married and I’m Nana B to two wonderful grandsons.
