Do not use this company. They have very poor customer service and will not take responsibility for their failures. I had just bought a new truck and wanted to get a nice canopy put on it. The dealership talked to the company to find out what the cost would be. They cut me a check so that I could buy it directly and save me some fees by not having to do it through the dealership. I didn’t need anything fancy just a basic canopy. As soon as I took delivery of my new truck, I went to Canopy West to order the canopy for my truck. The person working at the front desk was nice enough at the time but did give off the vibe that I was bothering him, and he didn’t want to be there. I explained to him that the dealership had called about me wanting a canopy and that they would be giving me a check to pay for it. I also made it clear that I needed this canopy before the end of December. An invoice was written up for a canopy on 30 October 2021. I also traded in my old canopy to help offset the cost of a brand new one. Before I left, I did ask if there was anything else that needed to be done. I was told no and I would be hearing from them. I waited until the end of November to call Canopy West to find out what was going on with the canopy, I thought I ordered from them. I was told that they forgot about me and they were waiting for a deposit before they ordered the canopy. When we first did the invoice there was no mention of needing a deposit before they could place the order. For 4 weeks I did not hear anything from Canopy West to try and collect a deposit or to inform me that they needed one. I called them the next day to inform them that I am canceling my order with them. As I have found another company that has a canopy in stock for my truck that even matches my trucks color. And will have it on before the end of the week. I reminded them that they told me the day before that they forgot about me and that I needed it before the end of the month. And they did not try to contact me during that 4-week time frame and that was why I was going with another company. The person I spoke with on the phone tried to make it out like it was my fault instead of taking responsibility for forgetting about a paying customer. There was not even an acknowledgement that I already gave them my old canopy. They are not offering to give it back or to give me any cash for it if they have already sold it. DO NOT go to this place. They are dishonest and shady people to work with. Go some place else like Canopy world like I did.
