History

Established in 1996.

I started Thiel Computers in 1996 as a result of recognizing a large service gap in our community while working at Circuit City. I was constantly being asked by my customers to give on-​site service. They were seeking more than technical service; they wanted caring and personalized service. I saw an opportunity to start the business of my dreams, build a work environment that could provide esteem and income to others, and offer a means to give to the community. Eventually, I changed the name to Hard@Work Computers. The name was important to my vision and mission for the true direction of the company. I wanted our business to work hard for others as if their problems were our own.

Curtis T.

Business Owner

He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and has been a Microsoft Certified Trainer. Locally, Curtis has taught at technical school computer course and speaks to business groups. The Business Examiner recognized him with the «40 under 40 Leadership Award» in 2004. Eastern Piece County Chamber name him «Business Person of the Year» in 2006. In 2007, he was co-​author of Peer Power, Powerful Ideas for Partners from Peers. The Puyallup Sumner Chamber named him «Young Professional of the Year» in 2010.
