Taboo caters to clients throughout Upper Bucks, Montgomery County and surrounding areas. In addition to our wide variety of services for both men and women, we carry cutting-​edge products from top brands like Matrix and Bed Head that are all sulfate and paraben-​free. Our skin care products from Bioelements cater to every skin type, providing total comfort with each service. Our certified manicurist uses high-​quality OPI nail care products. We also offer our on-​the-​go service, Taboo On The Fly, for clients that are looking for beauty services on location for special occasions like weddings and girls night.

History

Established in 2013.

Crystal is a state board-​licensed cosmetologist who has been in the beauty industry for over 10 years. After working as an accountant for five years doing things like, analyzing finances, maintaining billing and managing customer service she realized she wasn’t expressing her true passion. So she quit her job, and decided to pursue her real career aspirations in the beauty industry. After enrolling in Empire Beauty School she finally found what she truly loved to do. She discovered that helping people feel better about themselves inside and out was so extremely rewarding that she really fell in love with her work. Opening Taboo Salon & Spa was the final step in completing Crystal’s career.

Excellent service here. The staff really took the time to figure out what I wanted & made sure I was happy the whole way. They took a horrendous ombré dye job & made it gorgeous. I think I’m going to be a lifer!

I went there once before and enjoyed my experience because they took the time to ask how I felt about the color and cut. My most recent visit was nothing like that. The dye was not fully washed off my neck and burned until I got home to take a shower, the cut was uneven in many areas, especially my bangs, and the stylist let me leave there with partially wet, frizzy undone hair loaded with product. I am not one to write a review whether something is good or bad but when I am charged $ 89 dollars for a service, I expect to leave feeling good about myself not self conscious and angry. As a hairstylist, I would think they want their work to make people feel good about themselves and I left wishing I had never gone there and wasted my money.

I started going here three weeks ago. First a cut and color — was so pleased I went back the following week for a facial. Then went back for a body massage tonight — and I feel so fabulous ! The staff is so personable ! I’m going back next week for my body wrap– can’t wait!!!

My mom and I went for a Taboo pedicure. We had a great time! Staff is so nice, they offer complimentary beverages and snacks, large selection of polish colors and a pretty atmosphere. I loved the exfoliating leg scrub and the massage chairs you sit in are very fancy! There are two chairs so my mom and I could get our pedis together. They have a curtain that can be closed if you want privacy. We will definitely be back! And they have a manly massage room for guys who want to get pampered but keep a masculine touch. I thought that was very cool!
