Would give zero stars if it was possible. Came here for dinner and the whole ordeal took over two hours for a table of three. The scallion pancake was terrible. Other tables around us were just sitting around and waiting on their food too. It seemed like there was a good 20 – 30 minutes between each dish. With half the tables ordering hot pot I can’t imagine what would take the food so long to come out. Over an hour and a half in to the meal we asked if the last dish has even started we wanted to cancel it and get the check. The server said it’s coming out as we speak. 15 minutes later it came out. The food it self was average. The price was higher than others. But the service alone makes this a place to avoid.

Note: I am reviewing this strictly as a hot pot place. They do serve hot food, but that does not concern me here. If you are here to order dishes, then you’re doing it wrong. Sorry. Been here numerous times, and you could say that we are acquainted with the boss. That doesn’t mean preferential and biased opinions here though. I tell it like it is. Soup base is potent here. With any hot pot place this should be the main attraction to draw you in. And my does it ever. It tastes herbal, but not in an overpowering disgusting way. It goes perfect with all the usual things you want to cook. I like to consider myself a hot pot enthusiast. you will not go wrong with ordering what your usual assortment here. The one thing to try here is the drunken shrimp. Yes they are drunk, but more importantly they are still alive and well. Be careful when preparing these because they are slippery, and definitely jumpy. Keep the lid on them when not cooking them. This place is a la carte, so be aware of that. Good food often comes with a price, and this place is no exception to that. Hot pot goes excellent with beer, and I recommend their canned sapporro(don’t be like those mainlanders that drink red wine with hot pot because that makes no sense whatsoever. The only rationale I can think of for that is because they think they are being high class, but in reality it makes you look like an idiot). Definitely worth it though. Bathroom is clean and the sauce station is well stocked. You won’t be disappointed here. Go ahead and treat yourself. You probably deserve it. And if you don’t… then go ahead and be bad. This place will make you feel good about it.

This is my third time to have dinner with my gf here. Service is very good. We eat lots of meat and vegetables. Spicy and non-spicy soup is so delicious. I recommend you guys have dinners there.

Other reviews are on point with the soup base. Definitely stronger than other places, though I’m not sure if this necessarily means higher quality(anyone with a good nose and sense for asian herbs?). If anything the soup almost tasted like a chinese medicine shop. I am a regular hotpot go-er in the area. They offer roughly half the amount of food for 1.25 the amount of money compared to other nearby places. Considering how they’re the farthest from the 7 train out of all the other hotpot places, I don’t see how rent can justify the ridiculous price. I’d wager it’s to cut losses. Go check out the little sheep place across from the big muni. Little sheep, not little lamb.

A clean, new-looking place. I’m not a regular hot potter, but I was really impressed with the selection and freshness of the options. Service was really friendly too. Looking forward to going back soon!

i’m totally agree that one star comment! i just got back from that awful place and there is a trick if you want a buffet you have to tell before you get a seat ! menu will be diffrence and will be time 1.5 hr to finish the meal with two«extremly» slow motion round order… which i think they did it on propose ! because its a buffet ! if you don’t mention it is a buffet that will be charge on every single tiny dish $ 5– 10 each… you will end up a big bill after you enjoy w/couple friends. and of course full price menu come a lot faster… no waiting time, on the buffect side which i feel exceptional ! waiting 25mins + to get 2nd round order which claim«we are busy»!!! kidding right ! i would not recommand to anyone to this place and there’s a lot of place else to go in flushing… i mean«a lot of»!!!

The worst hotpot buffet I never had, you have to finish within 1.5hrs, when you want to reorder more food, you have to wait 25mins and not what you request on the list, bad services at all, you ask they said oh this is what you order. The reason they did that cause they will not tell you they have hotpot buffet, you need to ask first, they have different menu for you to choose, if you don’t ask, you will got ripoff!!! Beware!!!

This is a new hot pot place in Flushing! It is special because the soup base is a strong, delicious herbal concoction. The restaurant advertises it as Shambala Tibetan Hot pot, however, there are a few other Chinese places in Flushing that serve the same type of hot pot. The staff speaks Chinese and were friendly and prompt with orders. To start off, you can decide whether you would like both spicy and non-spicy broth $ 20(which are divided in half in a pot), or just one type of broth($ 26). It comes with a plate of meat(your choice) and a plate of mixed vegetables(standard like other hot pot places, except that they include crab meat which I thought was unusual since it is a vegetable platter). Then, there are other items on the menu that you order individually. I ordered the $ 20 pot, and a side of Udon noodles and a side of fish. There is also the standard sauce station where you can create your own dipping sauces. I personally did not need a sauce because the broth is so spicy and flavorful. The pot came to our table and was cooked on an electric stove in front of us. The meat and vegetables were of a decent amount. One particular aspect I didn’t like was that the fish came out in un-presentable frozen chunks, and the Udon noodles were partially frozen as well, with some noodles stuck to each other. I think defrosting takes little effort, and some sort of presentation on the plate would be nice. This small improvement can make a drastic difference! Other than that, the experience was excellent. The spicy broth was very spicy! The non-spicy broth is a milky white color and delicious as well. Both broths contain a number of ingredients in it to give it that unique taste. Sipping on the delicious herbal broth on a cold day will cure any cold or sinus problems you have! I do recommend this place if you are open to enjoying herbal broth. It may not be for everyone but it’s worth a try! I think it is absolutely delicious and will keep you warm on a cold winter day!
