Beautiful park! I came here for a walk with my clients and I enjoyed every bit of it. It’s a great place to play basketball, soccer and run around. There’s a big hill that’s great for getting some cardio exercise in. It’ll definitely help you bust a sweat. There’s a huge lake at the bottom of the hill and you can see the Whitestone bridge which is sooooo beautiful at night time. There are bathrooms which is a plus. There’s also chairs where you can sit and relax. Parking is available. You can park on the sides of he park or in the residential streets. I will return

It’s not a big park but if you live nearby or happen to be around the neighborhood, it’s worth stopping by. The view of the Whitestone Bridge is beautiful! This park is clean & well maintained. Great place to take a walk. Very relaxing here!

I Love bringing my Cocker Spaniel here, esp on a hot day where he can jump in the water and cool off. the only thing is don’t bring your dog unless u ready to give him a good scrub. the sand is just as annoying on dogs as it is on people. SANDEVERYWHERE. its also nice because if you choose not to let your dog swim or run in the sand, you can just bring a blanket and lay in the grass while your pooch enjoys the scenery with you. if you have kids there is a play ground great family atmosphere. This is a good location for the whole entire family! No one gets left behind :-D.

I wasn’t sure if Whitestone was going to be the place that I moved to. After I had a tour of what now is my apartment, I drove a few blocks to see what was in the area. I saw Francis Lewis Park and the following day I put the down payment on my apartment. This is a clean, spacious, beautiful park and is in my opinion the pride of Whitestone. It has ample space to run, throw a football, or toss a frisbee. The people are nice and the view of the Whitestone bridge is exceptional from the entire park. They have a beautiful new playground for children as well as bocci courts and tables for chess & checkers. This park is a great place to run or walk or spend a day doing nothing and most importantly it is a safe place to be at night. I love this park and in my opinion it sets Whitestone apart from every other place to live in queens. 5 stars, no brainer.

Beautiful at sunset! Whether gazing at the bridge from the balcony or walking along the mini-beach down the steps, this is a wonderful place for a stroll and picture-taking. A gem in Queens!

Clean new playground with lots of climbing features for adventurous kids like my 3yr old. The water feature is sure big hit with the kids in the summertime. The sunset view is great. Lawn could use some maintenance(it was partially mowed — weird), along with better trash management(several trashcans were overflowing — gross). Overall, the park adds a lot of value to the neighborhood.

Growing up within walking distance of ‘Whitestone’ Park, I have memories going back until I can remember: –Practicing my basketball and handball skills on the beat-up basketball and handball courts. –Doing laps around the main walking loop of the park with my old BMX bike –Drinking 40 oz’s of Olde English under the bridge –Watching a old buddy of mine, after consuming a number of above said Olde E’s, go for a swim in the East River. At 2Am. –Lighting off fireworks on the wharf portion of the park(that’s illegal to go into) –After lighting the above mentioned illegal fireworks, having the NYPD Harbor Patrol trying to arrest us –Prior to lighting off previously mentioned illegal fireworks, we also consumed previously mentioned 40 oz’s of Olde E and flipped the bird to NYPD Harbor Patrol — then running like olympic sprinters out of the park –Trying to fish off the wharf and the only thing biting are the mutant sized fleas buzzing around Aside from shenanigans as a youth, Frencis Lewis Park is a great place to go running/jogging, take your kids to play in a nice open space and watch wedding party after wedding party take pics in front of the bridge and you can do all of this with having great views of the Whitestone Bridge and East River. Just an FYI to you lovebirds out there — parking in front of the park and getting your freak on in the car is a BAD idea. The cops WILL roll up and you and they WILL laugh at you while you scramble to get your clothing back on. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Love this place … Always take walks here after dinner … If you walk around the circle 8 times there is a little plaque that says it’s one mile … This is where I got engaged and took some of out wedding pics … Every week you can see a different wedding taking thier pics here because it has such pretty scenery. Definitely even more beautiful at dusk…
