Fruits and veggies are really cheap. Everything else is around the same. I only bought a couple of items, bananas, condensed milk, organic milk, and fruit pulp. I didn’t check other areas of the market since I was really there to find ingredients for some shakes. They sell some brands I’ve never ever seen before. They’re obviously cheaper but you’re better off sticking to what’s widely known. The off brands don’t use quality ingredients and it’s not worth saving the extra change. The layout is a bit odd. It won’t be on my regular shopping rotation, but it’s not bad for basic fruits and veggies.

If you are looking for organic produce in a sterile environment, this is not your place. However, if you are looking for fresh produce at a good price, this is it. Located in the 165th Street bus terminal and the across the street from the Queens Library’s Central Library, the name of the game here is turnover of whatever they have at the moment. This accounts for the low prices and good looking produce. While they do have some groceries and interesting items from around the world, it is the fruits and vegetables that is worth your attention.

This supermarket is right across the street from the Central Library and conveniently located in the Jamaica Bus Terminal. They carry lots and lots of produce, and at very cheap prices. I once bought small hot peppers, onions, garlic, big bag of okra, all for under $ 5. The place is teeming with goods, and you can find West Indian groceries here. Its not the cleanest of supermarkets, but the prices can’t be beat!
