this window tinting shop leaves a little to be desired.
the owner is nice but i wonder about quality control on this aspect of their specialty. they get 3 stars because the owner was decent and they have a lifetime warranty on their work.

I bought a kenwood touchscreen. Nice radio except they neglected to tell me that my steering wheel controls will not work with an after market radio. So I kept bringing it back because they said they might be able to get it to work. They had it in there shop for 15 hours trying to get the steering wheel controls to work.
In the end they couldn’t get it to work so I said I didn’t want the radio and asked if they would take it back. They did but they wouldn’t refund me the labor costs.
So basically I paid them labor costs to Inconvenience me and tie up my vehicle for 15 hours for something that was completely there fault.
I wouldn’t go Back there again. I would probably go to
Bestbuy. I also bought a remote start. Thank god that works. Downfall about the remote start is I no longer have an alarm. You figure they would have told me that too. Guess not!

I had a 10am appointment for a groupon window tint package. I got there around 9:45 to find the shop locked and in darkness. There were no hours of business posted on front door. I called the phone number and eventually went to voicemail but mailbox was full. At around 10:05 an employee did show up and did apologize saying he was running late. They did take my car in immediately for tinting, but No tinting options (as in percentage) where given. I waited for my car to be serviced. Waiting room was FILTHY, as well as waiting room couch (stained and NASTY). On the positive side Employees were friendly and informative. The tint (suntek) is guaranteed for life and I was informed by employee that just «bring it in and we’ll look at it and fix it» if there are any problems.

I usually only write reviews if if place does great and this is no exception. I needed a decent stereo for my car at a decent price with no hassle or upselling or taking forever to install it. Boston Audio was just what I needed. They were very informative and even showed me how to use it. I love my new stereo.

Got my windows tinted here about a year ago, I would recommend going to another shop as my tint is peeling and bubbling at the top. They only had three tints to choose from which was legal, 20, or 5. I wanted something in between legal and 20 but unfortunately didn’t have that option. Got the 20, which is very dark. They have a «lifetime warranty» on their tint but I wouldn’t go back. I would recommend spending the extra $ 50 to get better quality somewhere else.

I was quoted $ 450 to install a radio in a Jeep Wrangler got to be kidding me. Every other place I talked to priced me for less. How is this place still open?

This place is unbelievable! The service is fantastic. Everyone is so helpful. I go in every so often to buy something new for my boyfriends car! I’ve gotten him a new radio for his car a while back which was great! And subs and Amps, he is obsessed with. He has had two cars since and they were the best purchase I’ve ever made! The people working at the shop made sure I was happy with everything I bought! The car my boyfriend just bought needs a lot of fun stuff done and he just booked an appointment for a bunch of stuff because he loves the work they do so much!
Can’t wait to get myself a car starter!!!

I researched remote starters, and all info pointed to the fact that the critical decision is not the starter, but finding a knowledgable installer who installs a LOT of remote starters, and to purchase a starter from that installer. Boston Audio responded to my e-​mail inquiry immediately, and I was close enough in proximity to stop over the next day for John to take a look at my car and assess my options for me. He didn’t laugh at me when I told him my primary goal was the comfort of my 16-​year-​old Chihuahua (who is my beloved fur-​child), but listened carefully to my desires and concerns, and explained clearly all of my options. He was able to get me in within a week for the install, which was done more quickly than expected, and was very patient with me in explaining how to use the starter properly. And, when I was leaving, I asked another employee about keeping the car warm/​cool when I ran in to a store and had my little Simba with me, and come to find out — he too has an older dog whose comfort he is concerned about! Bonus! He gave me some good advice on how to safely keep my little guy warm/​cool in the car when I am not present for a short time. These guys are GREAT! I recommend them wholeheartedly!

Just FYI, if you purchased the Living Social deal, call right now to find out if your vehicle is going to cost extra. I read the fine print with the list of cars that may cost more and since mine wasn’t on the list, I purchased the deal. When I called to schedule, I was told my car would cost an extra $ 119 — more than I paid for the deal itself. No thanks. Fortunately, I’m within Living Social’s 7-​day return window, so I’m going that route. I got the sense most cars will «require» an extra charge, in which case that should be stated in the deal. It’s disingenuous to make people think they’re getting a car starter for $ 114, then propose to charge them more than that as an extra charge.

They are an excellent team. I recommend them to all. I dealt with Craig, he is very honest guy. Price is low. Quality of work is Great.
They installed Pioneer Car Stereo in my Chevy Equinox. Craig even suggested me to get the equipment online for cheaper price, the installation cost was competitive better than the market. They even fixed my speaker problems. I also got copy of my car transponder for just $ 53 here, where as I was quoted $ 100 for the same outside.

Ill give Boston Audio 3 stars for ok service. Bought an amazon local deal for 5 windows tinted $ 112. For that price I feel that what I got was a pretty good deal but would have gone somewhere else if I had to pay the full price of $ 225. They will only tint to 35 percent with the deal. Looking around the shop while waiting it was pricey on other audio installations. If you can get a groupon deal or something on those ends it may be worth your while. Another plus is they got me an appointment a week after I called which is pretty good.

They installed aftermarket LED DRLs for me with built-​in turn signals that I got off eBay. I have a ’13 Ford Fusion Hybrid which was complicated since most of the fuses shut off when the ignition is off and the hybrid battery goes to a certain level, so the DRLs would shut off immediately to 30 mins after the ignition was off. I had to make a few trips back, but these guys kept trying other fuses until we found one that shut off right away. The price seemed good and they didn’t charge me extra to go back and try other fuses. They’re friendly and trust worthy.

I am generally new to cars period and figured despite having a negative review or two on here, I chose to go with Boston Audio design, because of the way that they handled my first phone call. I asked a lot of questions and they were all clearly very knowledgable, especially the main guy who answers the phone and arranges projects, Craig. They answered all of my consecutive questions in a friendly manner before the job and for months after the job and taught me a priceless amount about cars and car electrical as myself initially knew nothing.
For the job, I got great rockford subs with the same amp (they upgraded the amp for free because they couldn’t get the one I ordered, they did not ask me for any more money for a 750 watt amp vs. 500 watt that I had paid for) That was a good start even before the job.
They hardwired a high end radar, and did headlight assembly work. Everything looked perfect. They made my new volkswagen look like a factory audi. Everywhere I went after, complemented the job and said it appeared well and professionally done. I had three jobs done for about 875 with a lot of expensive hardware, 5 – 600 dollars worth and somehow still felt that I paid a lot even though all of the work was done perfectly with attention to detail and with all wires completely hidden. Buttons were placed well and any holes drilled for buttons were done in a way that was acceptable for a brand new car and the holes were placed in very ‘smart’ places without me having to tell em where; they figured it out in a proper and professional way.
Still I took this whole job for granted. And as someone who did not know anything about cars, I still somehow thought a couple hundred for labor was a lot for a well done job. I unfortunately took the well done job for granted and when I went to keep building my system by doing all 8 car speakers and a dvd headunit, I tried another audio shop and it turned out to be NIGHTMARE (after I paid them a TON, I now need a new door panel and two new replacement tweeters from when I should have stuck with Boston Audio and avoided this mess)
i should also add that I had one non serious technical error with my headlight but they took it seriously; looked into it thoroughly in a quick manner with the manufacturer, ordered necessary electrical solution relays and other parts to solve the problem; and solved it. They’ve been helpful to all my inquiries about future projects. John holds down the store; they handle all kinds of cars; even had a brand new Maserati when I was there last off the dealer lot. The main mechanic who did my work seemed like he really knew his stuff and is well versed in complex european cars and solving all of their glitches. They have serious attention to detail; no bs. They don’t ask you for more money to complete their jobs flawlessly, and everything they did has and still does work perfectly. Other car shops can’t knock any of their install jobs as much as they try to look for flaws and say they are better. Now I have made the serious mistake of taking my brand new car to a shop that doesn’t deal with the same caliber of cars and perfection and excessive detail attention that Boston Audio does. They were willing to correct their mistakes and sort of ‘make up for it’ but I cant handle the stress for another job poorly done with lots of problems and risking destroying expensive equipment that isnt set up right and looks ghetto installed in the first place.
My car will be Boston Audio only from now on. I guess it is no coincidence I accepted their logo on the Sub Box in my trunk on my first customization job on the car (I usually always refuse logos but theirs looked proper and it put on for the city)
I am taking my car back to them. I feel so relieved to call it off with the other store, after they set up a non properly tuned system that blew a speaker already and drilled a hole in my door panel that leaves my tweeter half covered and dented by the dash as the door opens and closes. I was panicked and stressed and don’t even believe this store or most others could do a job as professionally done as Boston Audio did. You can’t go to any store and expect the quality job that their team does.
I am now going to have the rest of my job corrected by Boston Audio. I guess they were really right when they said they usually get stuck with fixing up a lot of badly done jobs by other car shops. I had to throw in this review because the rating on here is inaccurate. Craig will handle your customer service and put together your project in a professional manner that is very rare in this industry. And the guys who do the work. well they do WORK.
I can’t wait for Boston Audio to finish equipping my ghost.

I received a gift certificate around Christmas for an automatic starter to be put in & was able to schedule an appointment easily. I brought my car there in the morning and by 5 PM it was done. I was told how to use the key fob and that was it! Any communication with staff was great and immediate. I highly recommend this place for automatic starters!

overpriced way overpriced
i took my car for system installation first he charged me outrageously and then when i was suppose to pick up my car it was not ready i had to wait for a day to get my car back and after couple of months i had little problem with the work they did on my car they tried charging me 75 dollars just to check the problem…

I have been going to boston audio since 2003, I have brought 4 cars there and also my boat for audio installs over the years. They are very professional and take the time to talk to you personally and discuss your wants and needs. John and the crew have never let me down! I suggest them to all my friends.
